Afternoon Delight: Winona Ryder and Noomi Rapace snuggle, Tina Fey gets a new film

Good afternoon!

Happy birthday to Loving Annabelle director Katherine Brooks! Check out the below (gratuitous) clip from the film where star Erin Kelly loves ’em and leaves ’em.

Congratulations to new mommy Charlize Theron! The Monster star adopted a baby boy named Jackson.

The original Girl with the Dragon Tattoo star Noomi Rapace was clung to by actress Winona Ryder at the H&M Collection Launch in Los Angeles. Calm down, Winona — Noomi doesn’t seem to be going anywhere.

Ellen DeGeneres introduced a new segment on her award winning talk show called “What’s Wrong with These Signs?” The flaming fallopian tubes sign scared the sÔÇòt out of me, while the “fresh vaggies” (supposed to be “veggies”) sound quite intriguing.

Molly Shannon is returning to TV. Finally! Shannon will guest-star on the upcoming CBS gay-friendly pilot Partners. The brainchild of Will & Grace creators Max Mutchnick and David Koha, Partners tells the story of two lifelong male friends and business partners — one is gay and the other is straight.

Tina Fey is heading back to school in the comedy Admission. Fey will play a college admission counselor who gets too close to her 17-year-old student. Paul Rudd is in talks to play Fey’s age-appropriate love interest after Owen Wilson backed out of the project.

Out political comedian Kate Clinton posted her latest vlog in celebration of Saint Patrick’s day. I found myself giggling at Clinton’s “eau de cheech and chong.”

Reminder: Today is the last day to enter the Club Skirts Dinah Shore Sweepstakes! Just “like” AE’s Sweepstakes page on Facebook and fill out the short entry form to qualify to win two platinum passes to the legendary lesbian mecca.

Queer Dessert of the Day!

Yesterday we mentioned Vermont-based ice cream giant Ben & Jerry’s new flavor Apple-y Ever After, in support of the UK’s proposal to legalize same sex marriage. Because I’m obsessed with equality (and desserts made of dairy) I wanted to post a photo of the new ice cream label featuring two grooms on top of a rainbow wedding cake. Like I need another reason to love Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. (To my knowledge, the ingredients of Apple-y Ever After do not include actual gay people.)
