This Week in Lesbianish TV: Feb. 11 – Feb. 18

We run a lot of recaps on AfterEllen.com, but we aren’t able to run them on every single show with a lesbian or bisexual female character. It’s a great problem to have, really – too many shows on television with gay women. So we decided to do a weekly column giving you the basics on the lesbianish storylines and highlights from out lesbians who have regular shows on the tube. If we miss anything, we’d love for you to send us a tip.

Degrassi (Fridays, Teen Nick): Fiona agrees to play Adam’s love interest in the play, and when they rehearse together, they end up making out – twice. Unfortunately, Fiona feels the need to be drunk to be with Adam, and he agrees to help Holly J stage an intervention, which doesn’t make Fiona too pleased. Watch full episodes at TeenNick.com.

GLEE (Tuesdays, Fox): The ex-Cheerios wage war on Sue Sylvester, and Brittany also seems to be losing interest in Artie. Rachel and Mercedes have a diva-off to the lesbian-themed “Take Me Or Leave Me” from Rent. Also, a lot of Justin Bieber.Watch full episodes at Fox.com.

Grey’s Anatomy (Thursdays, ABC): Meredith doesn’t appreciate that Callie asked Cristina to be her baby’s godmother. Cristina decides to say no, because she doesn’t want Meredith to be sad and think Christina thinks she has no chance of having a baby of her own. Watch full episodes at ABC.com.

Portlandia (Fridays, IFC): Fred and Carrie go on the hunt for the missing Mayor, and find him jamming in a reggae band. They also hire Aubrey Plaza as a house sitter – for an hour.

Pretty Little Liars (ABC Family, Mondays): Paige’s dad comes to the high school cafeteria looking for the swim coach, where he announces that his daughter didn’t get to swim lead because Emily was getting preferential treatment for being gay. When Emily’s mom finds out, she is furious and confronts him, later telling Emily she supports her, even though she doesn’t like the fact she’s gay. Later, Paige apologizes to Emily and ends up kissing her. Watch the full episode at ABCFamily.com.

Skins (MTV, Mondays): Tea wants to flirt with Betty, but Tony interrupts, wanting to talk about something that may or may not be serious. Watch full episodes at MTV.com.

Spartacus: Gods of the Arena:: Gaia shares her feelings for Lucretia, but unfortunately, she is killed while attempting to seduce Tullius.

The Good Wife (CBS, Tuesdays): Kalinda has dinner with Lana in attempts to find out some information that could be useful to her, but Lana ends up propositioning her again. Kalinda doesn’t want to work for the FBI, though. She leaves Lana’s and goes to Blake’s, where she retrieves her bat and uses it on him after he brings up her secret past. White Collar (USA, Wednesdays): No new episode this week. The show returns Feb. 22.

Brooklyn Kinda Love (Playboy TV, Saturdays): No Bek and Erin on this week’s episode.

Tabatha’s Salon Takeover (Bravo, Mondays): Tabatha heads to Concerto in Valencia, California where the owner’s stylists have taken over the salon. She tries to help him re-establish control and perspective.

Worst Cooks in America (Food Network, Sundays): Georg has made it to the final two, which means she won the flambe crepe challenge this week and will compete in the finale this Sunday.

The Ellen DeGeneres Show (WB): This week, Ellen invited Zach Wahls on to discuss his powerful, moving speech to the Iowa Senate about his two moms. Watch full episodes at ellen.warnerbros.com.

The Rachel Maddow Show ( MSNBC): Rachel covered John Boehner’s bonehead statements this week, as well as the union protests happening in Wisconsin. She also did a few pieces on the anti-choice movement in Kansas. Watch full episodes at MSNBC.com.

The Suze Orman Show (Fridays, CNBC): Suze explained why having bad credit could keep you from getting a job. Also, just in time for Valentine’s Day, she explained how to talk finances with your significant other. Watch video clips at CNBC.com.

The Talk (CBS): This week Sara Gilbert admitted she once thought one of her co-hosts had bad breath, but didn’t have the guts to tell them. Her co-hosts demanded to know which one she was referring to. Guests included Cyndi Lauper, LL Cool J and the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful. Watch full episodes at CBS.com.
