2010 Hot 100 List Preview: Michelle Rodriguez and Lea Michele

As promised, we’re giving you a glimpse into a few women who placed on our Hot 100 this week, before we announce the final tallies next Monday. Here are two actresses that made it into the top 50.

Michelle Rodriguez

Michelle is no stranger to the AfterEllen Hot 100. In 2008, she was #80. Last year, she jumped up to #46. We can’t tell you what number she’s at this year quite yet, but we’re pretty sure fans of the Avatar actress will be pleased with their contribution.

With her recent DJ gig at a lesbian event in NYC, Machete co-starring Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Alba and violence and a starring role in Battle: Los Angeles as Corporal Adriana Santos, the Dominican-American actress is keeping busy and is always at the forefront of your minds. Yeah, we weren’t surprised.

Lea Michele

New to the list this year, the Broadway star turned television actress has become a household name, playing songbird Rachel on Fox’s Glee. Michele is 23 and has been performing since she was 8 years old, starring in stage productions of Les Miserables, Ragtime, Fiddler on the Roof and Spring Awakening.

Lea is part Italian-American and Catholic and part Spanish-Sephardic Jewish. She’s also a Jersey girl, as she grew up in the city of Tenafly. When she’s not on our TV screens making Journey songs relevant again, she’s working on projects like the upcoming CGI remake of The Wizard of Oz, where she’ll lend her voice to playing the animated Dorothy.
