Morning Brew: Monday, Jan. 18

Morning, Monday brewers.

Did you watch the Golden Globes last night? Dorothy Snarker has it all recapped for you in case you missed anything — like Jane Lynch‘s lady friend. Get it girl.

I have to say that some of my favorite recapping came from bisexual performer Amanda Palmer, who attended with her new fiancee’ Neil Gaiman, who was up for an award with Coraline. So while I’m sad to announce she’s officially off the market, I am glad she brought some of her own flair and commentary to the award show. Here are a few of her Twitpics:

Another bisexual woman in attendance: Jillian Michaels.

Something else I noticed during the show: Confirmation that almost every actress at the event has kissed a girl on screen. There’s still time for you, Lea Michelle and Anna Kendrick.

And onto something else awesome: SkinsKathryn Prescott loves AfterEllen.com readers. It’s official.

Is Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky trying to steal lesbianism from David Lynch? If it means that we get to see Evan Rachel Wood, Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis be into women, then I’m fine with that. Carry on.

Literary critic, writer and Stanford University prof Terry Castle, has a new book coming out this week called The Professor. An out lesbian, Castle was featured in The New York Times Sunday Magazine this week in the “Questions” section, answering things like “Do you agree that lesbians suffer from a paucity of wit?” Her answer: “Well, those who drank the Kool-Aid in the ’70s in the heyday of lesbian separatism — a lot of them have ended up in the academic world as historians or sociologists. And so there is a kind of earnest and stylistically impaired lesbian who is still in existence, like a stegosaurus.”

Rosie O’Donnell might have a new GF, but she’s dreaming of a television tryst with Jane Lynch. “”I would like to have a competitive cheerleading team against Jane Lynch,” Rosie said about her wish to appear on Glee. “And maybe she and I like fall in love and have a torrid affair.”

And lastly, my favorite Tweet from last night, which had nothing to do with The Golden Globes or the return of 24.

See you tomorrow!
