Ruth Bader Ginsburg believes the #MeToo movement will be around for a long time, according to CNN. The Supreme Court Justice recently shared her own #MeToo story from her time as a student at Cornell University when she was sexually harassed by a professor. She made additional comments that she’d like to see the movement reach the more common folk, not just celebrities. We at AfterEllen concur.
#MeToo has largely been comprised of stories of sexual harassment and assault from women in the entertainment industry. However, it has inspired the Time’s Up movement, whose objective is to “addresses the systemic inequality and injustice in the workplace.”
