The First Lady chases the clouds away in a PSA
Sometimes I am a little taken aback by just how much I love the First Family.
I’m sure some of it is just the stark contrast from the past eight years, but still, I can’t remember ever enjoying a presidential family this much. And I’m old.
That said, this week my crush on Michelle Obama reached a new level of giddiness.
Yes, my friends, that is our First Lady, chatting with Elmo about eating right, exercising regularly and being a role model for kids. Mrs. Obama taped the segment as a PSA for Sesame Workshop’s Healthy Habits For Life Initiative, a program to help parents and caregivers establish healthy habits in children.
Here’s a clip:

The First Lady loved the experience. In fact, at a gathering of the U.S. mission to the United Nations on Tuesday, after thanking the diplomats and federal employees for supporting the president’s new foreign policy, she said:
I’m thrilled to be here, but I was just at Sesame Street, I’m sorry. And I never thought I’d be on Sesame Street with Elmo and Big Bird, and I was thrilled. I’m still thrilled. I’m on a high … I think it’s probably the best thing I’ve done so far in the White House. But we were there talking about nutrition and healthy eating, and it’s just been a thrill.
Seriously, could Michelle Obama possibly be any more adorable?
Yay exercise!
