We’re looking for a few great queer women writers!

We’re looking to add some new writers to the AfterEllen team in the new year—could that be you? We’re looking for freelance contributors who have a strong knowledge of the site and the kind of content we provide as well as experience writing similar pieces. Specifically, we’re looking for queer women who are able to write fairly regularly and come up with pitches on a consistent basis, as well as take on some assignments like interviews, recaps or event coverage.

If this is you, please send us an email with links to previous work and three pitches for pieces (personal essays, critical analysis of a trend in LGBT culture/media/etc., comical commentary, larger-scale features, regular columns, etc.) you think would fit on AfterEllen. Tell us a little bit about who you are, your interests and your availability on a day-to-day basis. Freelancers are paid per post on a monthly basis.

If you do not have any published pieces but are still interested in applying, send a sample post along with your pitches and you will still be considered.
