TV alert: Top Chef’s 4 Star All Stars kick off Season 3 tonight
Attention all foodies: Tonight Bravo kicks off the third season of its cooking competition show with a rematch. Four previous first-season Top Chef finalists (out bisexual Tiffani Faison, openly gay Dave Martin, Stephen Aspirinio and winner Harold Dieterle) compete against four second-season finalists (winner Ilan Hall, Sam Talbot, Elia Aboumrad and molecular gastronomist Marcel Vigneron) in a $20,000 cook-off for charity.
The show is still hosted by the icy yet increasingly sultry former model-turned-cookbook author Padma Lakshmi. This season’s judges include Food & Wine editor Gail Simmons, restaurateur Tom Colicchio and Queer Eye‘s Ted Allen.
Go here to watch some videos from tonight’s show, including a quick-fire challenge out of the realms of Extreme Martha Stewart: They have to cook two eggs perfectly with one hand tied behind their backs. What I love about this clip is Padma’s unalloyed glee when she delivers the bizarre rules to the competitors. For more preview clips, visit the Top Chef website. Top Chef: 4 Star All Stars airs tonight at 10 p.m. ET.
