Sara Ramirez attended the GLAAD Media Awards over the weekend in Los Angeles and spoke passionately to Glamour magazine about how proud she is to have been a part of Callie’s “authentic journey” on the show. Ramirez admitted, “Sometimes it’s overwhelming, I’ll be honest. Sometimes it’s really overwhelming, but I chose this path for Callie. [Creator] Shonda [Rhimes] collaborated with me on it and the writers, thank god, have gone with it, and here we are. I’m very proud of what we’ve done.”
