Afternoon Delight: Jaime Murray loves her lesbians, Anna Paquin signs on for “Susanna”

Anna Paquin has signed on for a 12-episode WIGS webseries. Paquin and Maggie Grace will co-star as sisters in the series Susanna. Paquin will play “Katie, the mother of a newborn, and her younger sister, Susanna (Grace), an investment banker on the rise who has no interest in becoming a mother. When Katie develops acute postpartum depression and is hospitalized, Susanna must take care of her sister and her sister’s child while trying to keep the biggest business opportunity of her life from being derailed by her sister’s illness.”

Out politician Christine Quinn rubbed elbows with the fashionistas at Cosmopolitan. Quinn, who is the front-runner in New York’s upcoming mayoral election, will also be featured in the next issue of Vogue.

Actress Jaime Murray (Warehouse 13, Defiance) recently discussed her loving and loyal lesbian fan base. Murray said, “It’s an under-represented demographic and it’s a really loyal fan base and it’s really nice to play those roles without making a big deal about it or making too much comment, because the more we normalize it the better. You’re not defined by your sexuality but by what you do.”

Illinois Republican Tom Morrison is causing controversy for comparing same-sex marriage to statutory rape. The Windy City Times obtained an email Morrison sent to a constituent with some absurd reasoning on marriage equality. Morrison has also been noted saying, “bisexual individuals could argue that they ought to be permitted to marry both sexes at the same time.”
