Afternoon Delight: Naya Rivera to appear at the NewNowNext Awards, Amy Adams signs up for a Margaret Keane biopic

HBO’s Game of Thrones has been renewed for a fourth season, which means more Lena Headey and more flying dragons!

This year’s NewNowNext Awards will feature many fantastic female celebrities including Tabatha Coffey, Sharon Osbourne, Pauley Perrette, Heather McDonald, Janina Gavankar and the one and only Naya Rivera. Make sure to tune into Logo on Monday, April 15 at 10 p.m. (9 p.m. central time) to see these ladies in action.

Amy Adams has signed on to star in the Margaret Keane biopic Big Eyes. Adams will play the famed painter, Christoph Waltz will play her a-hole husband Walter Keane and Tim Burton is set to direct.

In response to Republican chairwoman Sue Everhart‘s claim that straight people would use marriage equality to pretend to be gay and abuse the system, Jimmy Kimmell challenged his audience to see if they could tell if people were pretending to be in a relationship. Saturday Night Live cast member Nasim Pedrad (who does a stellar Lea Michele impression) has been cast in NBC’s untitled multi-camera comedy pilot starring John Mulaney and Martin Short. Pedrad will play “Jane, a sweet but lazy grade school teacher.”

Uruguay’s Senate has approved the country’s same-sex marriage bill. (The vote was 23 to 8.) The country’s President Jose Mujica has promised to also sign the bill and if he does, same-sex marriages can begin as early as this summer.
