Three more girls with guitars

I don’t like Mondays (tell me why). But this particular Monday has been better than most because I’ve been listening to Swati, Marnie Stern and Kaki King.

They rock. Here’s a little intro to each of them:

Swati‘s debut album, Small Gods, was released last week. She’s been wowing audiences for a while now; she played the Michigan Womyn’s Music Festival in 2006 and Lilith Fair in 1999.

You can hear Swati’s singing strings on her website and her MySpace page. (Her picking may be pretty, but some of the lyrics are NSFW, just so you know.) And Small Gods is on iTunes now.

Marnie Stern‘s style is decidedly more manic (after all, she is on the Kill Rock Stars label).

Hear Stern shred on her MySpace page. Her album In Advance of the Broken Arm is available on eMusic and iTunes.

And then there’s the unbelievable Kaki King. Kaki has several albums on eMusic and iTunes, and a MySpace page too.

Oh, and did I mention that Swati and Kaki are gay? (Um, separately so.) Just when you thought they couldn’t be cooler.
