Afternoon Delight: Kate Winslet to star in “Divergent,” Carla Gugino has “Doubt”

Good afternoon and happy Friday!

Happy birthday to Reese Witherspoon!

Last night, a slew of female celebrities attended An Evening: Benefiting The L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center, including Tabatha CoffeyJessica Szohr, Diane Warren and Jane Lynch

Speaking of Lynch, and in case you didn’t already know, her first crush was on Academy Award-winning director Ron Howard aka Richie Cunningham. (p.s. My wife wanted to be The Fonz.)

The American Academy of Pediatrics has come out in support of same-sex marriage and adoption. The AAP issued the following statement:

“Children thrive in families that are stable and that provide permanent security, and the way we do that is through marriage. The AAP believes there should be equal opportunity for every couple to access the economic stability and federal supports provided to married couples to raise children.” Here, here!

Comedian Fortune Feimster (Chelsea Lately) posted a sexy photo of herself on Twitter.

On Monday, March 25 Tellofilms.com will debut the first two episodes of their lesbian webseries Kiss Her I’m Famous, starring The Real L Word‘s Tracy Ryerson.

Kate Winslet has signed on to play Jeanine Matthews in the thriller DivergentI love this woman!

Lesbian favorite Carla Gugino has been cast as one of the leads in the new ABC legal drama pilot Doubt. In it, she’ll play “a no-nonsense and extremely competent D.A. who has little patience for courtroom antics.” She sounds a lot like my hero, Judge Judy, so I’m in!

In case you missed Finding Bigfoot‘s Ranae Holland on yesterday’s Jeff Probst Show, the episode is available here.

Attention all you Black Eyed Peas fans! Don’t worry, the rumors are false: Fergie “Ferge” is not being replaced. Fergie and her lady humps will be back on tour after her baby emerges from her womb.

Ms. magazine believes gay women are more affected by marriage inequality than gay men. This is because “states with some type of formal recognition of same-sex marriage, legally married lesbians outnumber married gay males almost two to one.”

Video of the Day!

Rhode Island sixth grader Matthew Lannon spoke out in support of gay marriage (and his two moms and two dads) during this week’s Rhode Island Senate judiciary committee meeting.

Have a fun weekend!
