Morning Brew – Wed. Dec. 5: Ellen’s Christmas commercial for JC Penney, Sam Ronson buys a new house

Good morning!

I am dying over the fact that TMZ calls Samantha Ronson‘s new house her “ladynest.” WTF is that? She moved to Santa Monica, so Lilo isn’t her neighbor anymore.

Sam also seemed very happy to be DJing at the Dalloway’s Grand Opening last night.

Have you seen Ellen DeGeneres in the Christmas-themed JC Penney ad? One Million Moms are so mad about her being a lesbian in it. Because she just is one, and that is enough to upset them. Do they not realize she has a daily TV show? Look how terrible she is, talking about giving and generosity.

Kim Ann Foxman has confirmed that she’s left Hercules and Love Affair, saying “relationships change.” She said she’ll be releasing her second solo single soon and also spoke about how house music is deeply rooted in gay culture, and vice versa:

I think people should know about the history of house music, of course! I think it’s important [for people] to know how gay culture played an important role [in the formation of house] and how house music brought all kinds of people together, regardless of race or sexual preference, where they could be free and just celebrate together. House music is for everyone.

Get thee to a rave.

Variety did an interview with the Best Supporting Actresses of the year (in their opinion) and Rosemarie DeWitt is one of them, for her lesbian role in Your SIster’s Sister. She discussed how she loved her character and doing improv for hte film.

The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman stars Evan Rachel Wood and Shia LaBeouf in a sexy situation. Here’s a first look.

Sally Kohn‘s hometown of Allentown, PA named December 4 Sally Kohn Appreciation Day. Congrats to the Fox News politico!
