It’s the most wonderful time of the year, when your favorite LGBT authors talk about the best gay book they read in 2012. Alison Bechdel‘s Are You My Mother? was a popular one, because it’s really freaking good.
Mary Lynn Rajskub went on the podcast Our Fifteen Minutes to discuss her recent coming out, although she’d probably hate if you called it that.
Naya Rivera looked gorgeous on the red carpet of the Trevor Live last night. We have a video interview coming later today. For now, settle for this photo.
Here are some of the other women who attended the event.
Jane Lynch and Lara Embry
Aubrey Plaza, Rashida Jones and Amy Poehler
Congrats to the first lesbian couple ever (first gay couple ever, too!) to get married at West Point. One of the women, Brenda Sue Fulton, is a West Point grad who also founded KnightsOut, an alumni organization supporting LGBT servicemembers.
In some other firsts, Minneapolis has a new out lesbian police chief! Anyone up for getting frisked?
Heather Hogan sent me this super-cool radio interview from the 1940s with Gertrude Stein. I love how she starts out saying “Look here.” She’s so sassy!
Wanda Sykes was on The Ellen Show last week talking about how her toddler twins speak French.
If you have time today, I highly encourage you watch iO Tilett Wright‘s ted talk from the weekend. It’s all about her project Self-Evident Truths, sexuality and equality.
