Morning Brew – Fri. Nov. 16: WNBA star Chamique Holdsclaw goes after her ex, Rihanna plays “Would You Rather” with Ellen

Good morning!

Rihanna played a game of “Who would you rather?” with Ellen DeGeneres and one of them was between Sofia Vergara and Halle Barry. I won’t spoil who she chose.

Kelly Clarkson’s new song is called “People Like Us.” Presented without comment.

In not so great news, WNBA player Chamique Holdsclaw got into a scuffle with her ex-girlfriend WNBA player Jennifer Lacy and is now in trouble with the law. Yikes!

Back in the day, the two were teammates on the Atlanta Dream.

Brittana have been nominated for the Queerties in a section called “TV Couple Who Puts the Fun in Dysfunctional.” They’ve up against couples from Homeland, Modern Family, The New Normal and Partners. This is a tough one.

If you love Victor/Victoria, you’ll enjoy this interview AfterElton did with star Lesley Ann Warren. She said of the gender-bending film:

You know, I’m so proud of it. So, so, so proud of it. When I first saw it, it was at a private screening at Blake Edwards’ home with the cast only, and I was absolutely mortified. I thought, “Oh my God, nobody will ever hire me again. This character is way too big and too flamboyant.” I couldn’t take it in. But then I remember, I went to the very first public screening, which at that time was at the Shubert Theater on Avenue of the Stars, which is no longer there, but the place went berserk for my character and everything she does and the movie. I saw what the reality of the situation was! The ensuing years have made me just more and more proud.

American Horror Story has been picked up for a third season. No other details are available at this time, but here’s hoping most of the cast return, including Sarah Paulson.

Tegan and Sara hung out with some fans and played some music. Try not to be jealous if you weren’t one of them.

Well, you tried.
