Morning Brew – Fri. Oct. 26: Santana on first love with Brittany, Rachel Maddow doesn’t know the names of Kardashians

Happy Friday!

Naya Rivera spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about Santana this season, with some details you’ll want to know:

I think the breakup really put her at a crossroads and now she doesn’t know what to do with herself. She gets to go back to McKinley again, but she’s in limbo. I don’t think she even knows what her long-term goals are and it does get brought to her attention that she should probably start thinking about those things. … If you think back to your first love, you always remember them and little things always remind you of them. I feel like that’s the relationship that they will always have. First love is always hard, that’s why that speech was so beautiful. But long-term? My fingers are crossed for them.

Naya also noted she’ll be back in Ohio for the Thanksgiving episode and the Grease performance. Yay! Also, I need her shirt from this week’s episode of This is How I Made it on MTV. Let me borrow that top.

Lesbians at Harvard are having a hard time meeting other gay chicks and getting dates. So if you’re in the greater Boston area, I suggest you start hanging around campus!

NCIS: Los Angeles wants Hetty to be President. Considering Linda Hunt is a lesbian, I’m totally down for that.

I told you about Ingrid Jungermann’s new post-Slope project recently, but she also penned a piece for The Huffington Post about why she created F to 7th. An excerpt:

I want to be part of something, but I can’t find lesbians like me: lesbians who don’t like lesbians. Last night I was at an Obama fundraiser, and my straight male friend told me, “You are the most homophobic person I know.” And he’s right. I don’t know who I am anymore. The last thing I want to do is make another secret Ani playlist I listen to when I’m lonely and need a feminism fix, but I also don’t want to go to trans parties where I’m the oldest, bitterest person there.

Well I like lesbians, but I don’t like Ani, so I now I’m having an existential crisis!

Good news! NBC has ordered five more scripts for Chicago Fire. Woo! I am loving lesbian EMT Leslie Shay.

Degrassi creator Linda Schuyler talked with EW about the success of the show and how they’ve been able to get storylines about abortion, transgender teens and cutting on the air. Palex forever.

Rachel Maddow played a game of Pop Politics on The Wendy Williams episode yesterday and she won!
