Morning Brew – Thurs. Oct. 25: Ellen takes a stroll down Mullet Street, Melissa reflects on her baby mamas

Good morning!

Looks like we’ll be getting some Fimogen time soon on Degrassi, as Cristine Prosperi tweeted this pic yesterday.

Sara Ramirez did a great interview with The Huffington Post about Calzona’s current less-than-stellar situation. An excerpt:

At least from what I’ve seen and read, Arizona’s very much about figuring this out by herself. And when someone wants to get through something like this on their own, without their partner’s help, there’s not a lot of space for their partner to play a part in that. So Callie is busying herself with Sophia and busying herself helping other people at the hospital because they’re actually needing her, and are open to needing her help. Her situation at home … it’s not something that she knows a lot about. She doesn’t know how to support and nurture an amputee, especially one that doesn’t want her help.

Sounds like things might get a little bit worse before they get better!

Ellen DeGeneres is hilarious in her acceptance speech for the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. It was perfect.

Amber Heard is pimping some lingerie. You’re welcome.

Have a few questions for President Obama? He will directly address the concerns of young voters in Ask Obama Live: An MTV Interview With the President, which will air live Friday, October 26 at 5 p.m. ET (tape delayed PT) across all of MTV’s screens. MTV reports that the half-hour special will feature “MTV News correspondents Sway Calloway, who will sit down with the president in the White House, and Andrew Jenks, who will be on the ground at a college campus in Washington, D.C., with a group of young voters. You can submit your questions for the commander in chief beginning Tuesday (October 23) by hitting up the MTV Facebook page.”

Brandi Carlile told The Chicago Sun-Times how she juggles marriage with the road. She joked:

With complete and utter co-dependence. No I’m just kidding, who really knows?

Melissa Etheridge went on CBS This Morning today to talk about her new album, 4th Street Feeling. She talked about having “two baby mamas” (“really wonderful people”) and being ready for love again.

Rosie O’Donnell will appear on Dr. Oz today to discuss her heart attack and how she’s feeling now.
