Nordstrom has come out in support of gay marriage. The company’s president, Blake Nordstrom, sent an email to his employees stating, “It is our belief that our gay and lesbian employees are entitled to the same rights and protections marriage provides under the law as all other employees. We also believe supporting freedom to marry will help us create a more attractive and inclusive workplace for our current and prospective employees.”

JewishPress.com published an open letter to comedian Sarah Silverman attacking her independence. In the letter, Rabbi Yaakov Rosenblatt encouraged Silverman to stop focusing on her career, get married and have babies. WTF? Silverman’s father wrote a letter back stating, “Hey asshole: Daughter #1 is a rabbi. Not by your standards. She’s reform. How dare she, a lowly woman think god wants her to be a rabbi, created from a mere rib…You don’t f–k with my family.”
