In November it will have been 45 years since Rolling Stone was founded by gay publisher Jann Wenner. With iconic cover photography by the likes of out lesbian Annie Leibovitz, the music magazine has been a portrait of liberal arts and culture since it launched in the 1967. In that time, the magazine has changed its format and frequency several times, but there have been many out women as part of its history.
