Black Swan‘s Natalie Portman is set to star in and produce Jane Got a Gun. The western will center on “a woman whose outlaw husband returns home riddled with bullet wounds and barely alive. When her husband’s gang eventually tracks him down to finish the job, she is forced to reach out to an ex-lover and ask if he will help defend her farm.” I think I’ll skip this film, unless her “ex-lover” is played by The L Word‘s Katherine Moennig.

Viola Davis, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Rosie Perez and Holly Hunter join forces for Won’t Back Down. The drama, based on actual events, is about “two determined mothers who transform their children’s failing inner city school.” The below trailer makes me want to burn my bra and scream out for “girl power!”
Actress Rose Byrne participated in an “Ambushed in Bed” interview for Funny or Die. At the 4:32 mark the interviewer asks Byrne if she’s ever played a lesbian role and from the Bridesmaids star’s reaction I don’t think it’s on her to-do list.
