Despite protests from a Christian group complaining she is offending Jesus Christ and promoting homosexuality, the “Born this Way” singer will perform her second Philippine concert in Manila. The always entertaining Gaga tweeted her backup escape plan in case things go South.
Grammy award winner Gloria Estefan dished to EW about her guest-starring role as Santana’s mother on Glee. Estefan gushed about working with actress Naya Rivera, “She was so sweet when we met on the set. She was really really nice and sweet. I thought we fell into the roles well. She was fun to be around.”
A special belated congratulations to famed-photographer Annie Leibovitz. Earlier this month Leibovitz was honored by the Museum of Contemporary Arts with the 7th MOCA Award to Distinguished Women in the Arts. During her acceptance speech at the Regency Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles, Leibovitz said, “This award has been given to a great group of women, very distinguished company. And here I am in California. This is where I learned to be a photographer.”
Over the weekend Queen Latifah headlined the Long Beach Pride festival. The below video has an excerpt of her performance plus some fans speculating (once again) on Latifah’s sexuality. Latifah has always denied being a gay but that doesn’t mean we can’t dream.
This morning on The View, Whoopi Goldberg confirmed that Marvel Comics is making history. In tomorrow’s Anstonishing X-Men comic #50 issue, gay X-Men character Northstar will be proposing to his long-time boyfriend Kyle. Northstar and Kyle’s wedding will also be featured in an upcoming issue. How do I get an invitation to this wedding?
