The nominations for the 2012 Tony Awards have arrived! Congratulations to out actress Cynthia Nixon for receiving a best performance by an actress in a leading role in a play nomination for Wit. Other Tony nominees include Judith Light, Stockard Channing and my former-boss/painting mentor Donyale Werle! Tune into CBS at 8 p.m. on June 10 to see these talented women and watch the legendary Bernadette Peters receive the Isabelle Stevenson Award.
Catherine Keener, Jane Fonda and Elizabeth Olsen star in the comedy Love, Peace & Misunderstanding. The below trailer is super-straight but I’m going to pretend Fonda’s hippie character is bisexual even though there is absolutely no proof of that.

On May 6 at 8:30 p.m, Tina Fey will appear on the hilarious talk show Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis. The half-hour special, entitled Between Two Ferns: A Fairy Tale of New York, will air on Comedy Central and will also feature Jon Stewart and Sir Richard Branson.
Emma Watson is in talks to play herself in the disaster-comedy End of the World, co-starring Seth Rogan, Jason Segel and James Franco. I’m in!

On May 8, 2012, the people of North Carolina will be voting on Amendment One, which could take away legal protections from thousands of same-sex couples and their children. The below video features a lesbian couple that have been together for 45 years. Lennie, 76, and Pearl, 87, are incredibly eloquent when speaking out against this insulting amendment. (p.s. I have a crush on Pearl.)
