Afternoon Delight: Aubrey Plaza plays Buffy, Nicol Paone’s new web series

Good afternoon world!

Happy birthday to Jordana Brewster (D.E.B.S.), Joan Chen (Saving Face) and my childhood hero, Carol Burnett!

Get ready for a mega announcement! Parks and Recreation‘s Aubrey Plaza took on the iconic role of Buffy the Vampire Slayer for the Retro Theater. Personally, I think Plaza’s portrayal of Buffy is spot on. (Fast forward to the 4:15 mark to see the magic.)

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo‘s Rooney Mara has signed on to star in Brooklyn, an adaptation of Colm Toibin’s novel of the same name. The story is set in the 1950s in Brooklyn and Ireland and Mara will play a “young woman torn between her family in Ireland and the American who wins her heart.”

Mila Kunis showed off her gams in a rockin pair of metallic shorts at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, NV.

If you like women in fatigues that take a garner at the below trailer for G.I. Joe Retaliation featuring Adrianne Palicki. (I think this film should change its name to Ninja Avalanche.)

Attention residents of San Antonio, Texas! On May 4 from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m, IgniteSA is having their May magazine release party at La Bikina cocktail lounge! All who attend will get a copy of the magazine’s May’s issue, featuring my big face. (Seriously is my face really that big?)

L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center is hosting a free breast cancer forum featuring Dr. Susan Love on Tuesday, May 22 starting with a 6 p.m. reception. Love is an author and breast cancer researcher and will be speaking about her life’s work and doing a Q&A session at the Center’s Village at Ed Gould Plaza in Hollywood.

Tilda Swinton sported a white jumpsuit at the Time 100 Gala celebrating the magazine’s 100 Most Influential People In The World. The event was held at Lincoln Center in New York City.

Exes & Ohs star and creator Michelle Paradise is weighing her career options.

Tonight at 9 p.m. my wife and her band Tiger Mouth will take the stage at On The Rox, located on the top floor of the Roxy (9009 West Sunset Blvd) in West Hollywood. If you’re over 21 years old, come join me in the audience as I raise a lighter towards the stage (before security takes it away from me.)

Lesbian/Bi Video of the Day!

Out actress Nicol Paone (Big Gay Sketch Show, 30 Rock) has her own daily youtube series called I’ll Drive with Nicol Paone. If you need a good belly laugh watch the series in entirety. Below is episode 6 in which Paone discusses her mom’s “great body” and “chocolate vagina.” Enjoy!
