Afternoon Delight: Sarah Silverman on gay rights and getting nude with Michelle Williams, ScarJo on being the Black Widow

Good afternoon and happy Monday!

Happy birthday to Jamie King, Judy Davis, Joyce DeWitt and AE’s Mia Jones!

Sarah Silverman spoke in depth about her full-frontal nude shower scene with actress Michelle Williams in their upcoming film Take This Waltz.

Silverman said, “The actual day wasn’t bad. It was very supportive and you forget it once you do it, but the morning leading up to it, I over-groomed. You know when you even and even and even until nothing’s left? It was bad. Never try to even from the top. Let the top be the top… It was alright. I wish it was fuller. Michelle’s was so full and awesome.” I’m definitely going to see this movie.

Silverman also spoke out in support of gay marriage, “Gay marriage is something that Newark Mayor Cory Booker said it best: Some things are not meant to be a vote. Some things are a right. And if things like that were left for a vote, he said, I wouldn’t be where I am today, meaning anything that is civil rights because people don’t always know what’s best. Their fears keep them from being open and being fair. And so that would just be not up for a vote. Gay marriage, legal, with a big f–king apology for the past few years.”

Olivia Wilde froze her nibs off while shooting the drama Deadfall. Wilde discussed working in sub-zero-temperatures in the wilderness outside Montreal: “It was freezing. But we were supposed to be cold in the movie. So the optimistic way to look at it was, ‘Hey! This will help us act.’ I’m not acting. I’m just, like, dying of hypothermia.

The film’s director, Stefan Ruzowitzky, also spoke out about Wilde’s difficult scene. Ruzowitzky said, “The cold for the director is not such an issue because you can wear whatever. I think it was really tough for Olivia, who had the sequined miniskirt and nothing else and sort of a fur scarf. She said she’s never been freezing that much in her whole entire life.” Poor Olivia!
