Afternoon Delight: Halle Berry’s new film, Adele on the cover of “Vogue”

Good afternoon and happy birthday to actress Elizabeth Olsen (Martha Marcy May Marlene)!

Jane Lynch has signed on for the comedy A.C.O.D (Adult Children Of Divorce). Lynch will play Dr. Judith, an author and washed-up therapist eager for fame.

Speaking of Lynch, earlier this week the Glee star teamed up with Amy
for Live Talks Los Angeles at Aero Theatre in Santa Monica,

Grammy hoarder Adele is Vogue‘s March cover girl. Shhh! Adele is
trying to sleep.

Director Brett Ratner will team up with GLAAD to create a new video
series for the LGBT community. (In case you forgot back in November
Ratner resign as a producer for the 84th Academy Awards after using an
anti-gay slur for which he later apologized for saying.) Apparently
all is forgiven because Ratner has signed on to produce and direct
this video series featuring “Hollywood celebrities, athletes,
musicians and politicians coming out of the closet as supporters of
the LGBT community.”

If you’re a Halle Berry fan or you enjoy watching sharks taunt divers,
then check out the trailer for the thriller Dark Tide. (My wife is
really excited to see this movie.)

Beth Ditto and The Gossip have announced their 2012 summer tour dates. Where are they headed? Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Holland and Austria. What? No love for the U.S.A?

Director Angelina Jolie received a standing ovation at the Bosnian
premiere of her film In the Land of Blood and Honey. Jolie made a
teary speech captured by the Associated Press.

Reese Witherspoon shared her “girl crushes” with Conan. Who did she
pick? I’ll give you a hint: She likes Rachel Bilson and Jennifer
. (Fast forward to the 3:30 mark to hear about her lady loves.)
