Morning Brew – Tuesday, Oct. 25: A “Bachleor Pad” contestant comes out as bisexual, Gro Hammerseng on being pregnant and gay

Hi all!

In this video from Rooney Mara’s Vogue covershoot, she talks about how she came to audition for the part of Lisbeth Salander and when she finally decided to read the books. Also, she discusses her new look and how people treat her differently from when she wore dresses four times a week.

Krisily Kennedy is a former beauty queen that appeared on the reality show Bachelor Pad. The TV personality told Life & Style she just broke up with her girlfriend of a year and that she identifies as bisexual.

I’m completely open to still dating men. For me, this is all very new, and I was very lucky to have had my friends and family behind me. I want to fall in love with anyone and I don’t care who they are.

Good for you, Krisily. Now I wonder why she wasn’t interested in any of the women she roomed with on Bachelor Pad.

J Crew’s president and creative director, Jenna Lyons, is apparently leaving her husband for another woman.I also learned she is sometimes called “commander in chic,” which is pretty amazing.

Speaking of pretty and amazing, Olivia Wilde and Amber Heard were having a conversation at the Hollywood Film Awards and I am so glad someone was there with a camera.

Evan Rachel Wood recently acknowledged how funny it is that she was cast in several lesbian or bisexual parts before she realized she was bisexual.

I look back on my career and I wonder how they [the casting directors] knew. … I’ve always felt this way about myself since I can remember, since I was a little girl. I grew up being terrified of it and not understanding it. No one explains it to you. It’s something that no one ever discusses. So I remember growing up and seeing women and actresses who had come out and were open about it, and it made me feel so much better. I didn’t even know bisexuality was a thing until I heard [actress] Fairuza Balk talk about it when I was a kid. I was like: “Oh my God, you can like both — and that’s OK.” It was revelation.

In other news, does this mean that Fairuza Balk is bisexual? Or just someone who enjoys talking about bisexuality? I love The Craft.

Spanish film distributors are cutting all of the lesbian scenes in Without Men, which means the movie will make no sense. Xavier Daniel, director of the Barcelona International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, cancelled the screening of the film in protest, saying, “We received a statement from the distributor in Spain saying that when the film premieres it will have the lesbian scenes removed. “We are very angry that a distributor can modify the content of a film. The audience will not understand the film, because all the lesbian scenes are cut out. It is unbelievable in the year 2011.” And in Spain! Didn’t they see Vicky Cristina Barcelona?

LezGetReal pointed out there’s a lesbian kiss in the new straight-to-DVD horror flick Wrong Turn 4. Eliza Dushku is not in this sequel. Sorry!

The translation of this interview with Gro Hammerseng is probably wonky, but I think we get the gist. The professional out handball player discusses being pregnant and gay, saying:

I want to have children with someone I love. And I love girls. It would be wrong for me to not be in love because I want children, I told [her partner Anja Edin]. I know there are some people who think that I should never have children. I think this is sad. For me, I feel lucky. I find it amazing that I have children with Anja.

I would find it amazing to have kids with Anja, too! She’s adorable.

Lindsay Lohan is going to pose nude in Playboy. I’m actually not that surprised because she’s posed in the buff for other photoshoots before. She’s apparently getting one million dollars for this one, though.
