Happy Monday! How was your weekend?
I tuned into the VMAs last night and was glad to see Lady Gaga doing Jo Calderone. I’m pretty sure that was the first time a drag king accepted an award on MTV. Go Gaga! We’ll have a full recap of the show for you today.
A band called Tribes has released an album all about Sappho. In fact, it’s called Sappho. In case you are wondering, they are all dudes. I listened to the title track and it starts out talking about a lapdancer. Here it is for your listening pleasure (?)
Back in 2009 we told you Olympia Dukakis and Brenda Fricker would play elderly lesbians in love in a new film called Cloudburst. Well it’s finally being readied for release and Olympia told GoodReads about the film:

PFLAG has launched a new marketing campaign in Canada, featuring 14 testimonials from real LGBT people. With ads like the one below, the organization is hoping people who come across them will be intrigued to scan the code or visit the website to find out the rest of the individual’s stories.
Well, shoot, I want to know!

One of the new Hollyoaks girls is named Tilly and she had a “lesbian fling with Esther Bloom.” Her profile also says she “likes to keep her options open and is unlikely to settle down any time soon — though she does like to dabble once in a while!” She looks really adorable!
True Blood‘s HBIC Nan (Jessica Tuck) is going to guest star on Castle. Somehow I don’t think she’ll be playing a vampire.
Ellen DeGeneres joined the New Orleans Saints for a day, and she really wanted to bring the game back to basics in her old school uniform.
Chaz Bono is officially going to be on Dancing With the Stars this season — and dancing with a lady. Duh. Please let there be no facepalm-inducing comments from the judges!
