Good morning!
Samantha Ronson is on the cover of this month’s YRB magazine and, inside the issue, she talks about DJing, recording her own stuff and her personal life. Here’s what she had to say about her very public relationship with Lindsay Lohan.
It was so uncomfortable and weird. I enjoy staying under the radar and just doing my thing. It sucks that people were interested in me because of nothing I have done. … if people run their lives based on other peoples’ pressures you will be screwed. I pay attention to the person I’m in the relationship with.
She also swears a lot and says she doesn’t do drugs, so stop thinking she does!
Pariah producer Nekisa Cooper is working on a new project, Five Nights in Maine, and is hoping you’ll throw her a few bucks over at Kickstarter. The film is about an interracial couple whose life is changed by one of their visits home and untimely death.

If you’re in Portland, like I am, there’s a Portlandia event this Saturday, with a Carrie and Fred Q&A. It’s a fundraiser for In Other Words (aka “Women & Women First”) Portland’s feminist bookstore/library. I’m going and it’s going to be rad.
An actress from Ghana named Chichi Neblett spoke with a local paper about playing a lesbian role in one of her films.
I played the role of a lesbian where I had to romance this girl. I found it very difficult because I will not even find myself kissing a guy in movie let alone my friend woman. It was a little bit challenging for me. I was just faking it. I didn’t kiss her, I just gave her some serious pecks.
Why do I read articles that are titled “I Romanced a Woman Sexually”? All they do is depress me. (BTW, pecking is kissing.)
Christine O’Donnell refused to answer questions about gay marriage on Piers Morgan last night, and walked off the interview. What’s she so afraid of? We already know she’s against it.
Naya Rivera is on Latina magazine’s 25 Most Beautiful Latino Stars Under 25. Well deserved!
