Morning Brew – Friday, July 22: Amber Heard’s hot GUESS? campaign, Jennifer Aniston says she loves the ladies

Friday!!!!

Have you seen the photos of Amber Heard for her new GUESS? campaign? There’s a lot of cowboy in them, but she looks gorgeous.

Kristin Bauer van Stratten describes Pam’s dream girl as:

Good question. Well, she liked Yvetta, so Pam’s type may be just “hot.” At least for a roll in the hay. Who could ever win Pam’s heart, though, besides Eric? Since she is a bit confident with who she is, I’ll say someone who is [also confident]… and hot.

Finding Jupiter’s out frontwoman Sarah Masimore told antiMusic the story behind one of the band’s songs, “Roses.” It’s about an ex-girlfriend (duh).

“Roses” was written in the midst of the most ridiculous lesbian drama you could ever imagine. You’ll have to get me a bit drunk before I reveal all the juicy details, but I’ll tell you this: it was filled with love, lies, tears, and multiple unfriendings on Facebook. I told you — s–t got real.

Now you have to hear the song right?

Jennifer Aniston randomly said she loves women at the premiere of Horrible Bosses. There wasn’t any context provided in the source, but apparently she told reporters:

I love girls! Yep, I said it. I love the girls!

I detect some kind of sarcasm. I don’t get a lesbian vibe from JenAn, despite her TV kisses with Winona Ryder and Courteney Cox.

Vanessa Carlton talked with OUT magazine about her new record and her decision to come out as bisexual at Nashville Pride.

Cynthia Nixon is going back to Broadway to star in the lesbian-penned play Wit. The Pulitzer Prize winning play was written by Margaret Edson. Cynthia Nixon is the hardest working lesbian in show business, I swear! She also wrote a piece for this week’s issue of Newsweek about New York’s legalization of gay marriage.

Rachel Maddow doesn’t care that Republicans make fun of her. In fact, she kind of enjoys it.

Sajdah Golde’s hometown gay paper (MetroWeekly in D.C.) interviewed her about her experience on The Real L Word. She told the paper:

People tune in every Sunday because they want to know my story, not because they want to know the story of every black lesbian that’s ever lived. ‘Because if that’s what they’re looking for, they’ll never find it. Because there’s no way I could do it.

Today in Lesbianish TV: *The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Talk (CBS 2 p.m.), The Rachel Maddow Show (MSNBC 9 p.m.) and *Being Human (Syfy 1 a.m.) (Thanks Roni!)

*Denotes a rerun
