Afternoon Delight: Noomi Rapace in “Sherlock Holmes,” Kristen Wiig’s passion project is a go

Happy birthday to Jane Lynch! Glees Emmy Award winner (and 2011 Emmy nominee for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series) turns 51 today.

Rosie O’Donnell‘s new show will be premiering on the OWN Network in October, and O’Donnell documented her first day of work at Harpo Studios as she arrived with a dog in tow. (I wish I could take my dogs to work. Wait, I work from home so I do take my dogs to work. Never mind.) O’Donnell’s kids told their mother not to worry about her first day and said, “You’re still funny.” As O’Donnell roamed around her new stomping grounds, she talked about bologna, deep-dish pizza and “zit popping.” Oh Rosie, how I’ve missed you.

Comedian Erin Foley posted a movie trailer for her new faux film A–hole Ghost. The trailer is produced by Drew Barrymore‘s Flower Films and co-stars Nicol Paone. Warning: Erin Foley makes out with a guy in the trailer. WTF?

Earlier this week House actress Olivia Wilde tweeted about the animated character Smurfette.

I’m not sure what’s more awesome, that Wilde shared her “uncomfortable” feelings about the blue vixen or that she has a subscription to Maxim magazine.

Speaking of Wilde, check out a clip of her new sci-fi film Cowboys & Aliens. Wilde is easy to spot because she’s in a long dress and apparently she’s the only woman in a town full of cowboys. (Cuz that’s realistic.) Wilde is like the human Smurfette.

The original Girl with the Dragon Tattoo star Noomi Rapace is back in action! This time, she’s traded traded facial piercings for a laced up corset for the epic Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. In a fight between co-star Robert Downey Jr. and Rapace, my money’s on Rapace. Sherlock Holmes hits theaters in December.

Academy Award-winning screenwriter Diablo Cody has been hired to rewrite the Evil Dead remake. The film will be directed by Federico “Fede” Alvarez (Panic Attack). Cody tweeted:

Don’t worry, Cody, you’ll be fine.

Kristen Wiig‘s new film Imogene has been green lit! The dark comedy is about a “moderately successful New York playwright who stages a fake suicide attempt to win back her ex-boyfriend, only to end up being forced into the custody of her gambling-addict mother.” I love Wiig, but why can’t she do a movie that doesn’t revolve around her getting a man? I might skip Imogene but I will see Wiig in Friends with Kids, co-starring Megan Fox and Maya Rudolph.

If you live in Los Angeles check out Sia live at the Wiltern on Wednesday, August 10. I just bought my ticket so join me on the dance floor at 7 pm!

Lesbian/bi Photo/Tweet of the Day:

Last night while watching my favorite show So You Think You Can Dance? I spotted my friend comedian Fortune Feimster (Chelsea Lately) sitting in the audience starring up at Emmy-nominated host Cat Deeley. I screamed out, “Is that Fortune?” Then I texted Fortune, who confirmed that yes, she was eye f–ing Deeley while attending a live taping of the show. Fortune then took to Twitter with the photographic evidence of the incident. Deeley retweeted the picture and confirmed that yes the two did share a moment. When did Fortune turn into a pimp?

And if you’re in Ventura tonight check out Feimster and me live at the Ventura Harbor Comedy Club at 8 pm. (I’m filling in for host Jennie McNulty.)
