Afternoon Delight: Megan Fox is the face of Giorgio Armani, Angelina tops the “Forbes” list

Happy birthday to Absolutely Fabulous creator and star Jennifer Saunders! The brilliant comedian turns 53 today.

I’ve loved Brad Pitt ever since he stared in Legends of the Fall. (Mainly because his long hair made him look like a lesbian.) I’m happy to announce that Pitt loves me, too. Well, he doesn’t just love me – he loves the LGBT community as a whole. Pitt, who has long been an advocate for marriage equality, gushed to People magazine about New York’s new gay marriage law.

It is encouraging that New York has joined the movement to grant equal marriage rights to its citizens. But it is each American’s Constitutional right to marry the person they love, no matter what state they inhabit. No state should decide who can marry and who cannot. Thanks to the tireless work of so many, someday soon this discrimination will end and every American will be able to enjoy their equal right to marriage.

In the past, Pitt has said that he and his partner Angelina Jolie would not marry until everyone could. Now I really want the government to legalize gay marriage. I can just picture it: Jolie will wear ivory and her long hair will flow down her back. Zahara and I would be the flower girls throwing white rose pedals in the aisle while Shiloh officiates the wedding. Oh, and Brad will be invited, too.

Speaking of Jolie, Forbes announced its list of highest—paid actresses in the world and Jolie nabbed the top honors. Actually, Jolie shares the title with Sex and the City‘s Sarah Jessica Parker, since both actresses banked $30 million dollars last year. Geesh, I’m happy when my rent check doesn’t bounce!

And speaking of being broke, CBS has released a sneak preview of their new fall series 2 Broke Girls starring Kat Dennings (Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist) and Beth Behrs (Up Close with Carrie Keagan). Dennings plays an irritable waitress who barely make ends while Behrs co-stars as a former Park Avenue princess who is now penniless and has taken on her first service job.

Two things that really bother me about the title of this series are: 1.) Why do Dennings and Behrs have to be broke? Why can’t they be well-off and their douchey male friends are broke instead? 2.) The term “girls” drives me crazy. Both of these women are clearly in their 20s. Guys in their 20s are never referred to as “boys.”
