Afternoon Delight: “Snow White” gives us triple the Kristen Stewart, Nicola Formichetti recalls meeting Lady Gaga

Happy 31st birthday to Cracks actress Eva Green and 43-year old out actress Jillian Armenante. Armenante can be seen stealing scenes in Bad Teacher alongside Cameron Diaz. And happy belated birthday to Lindsay Lohan. The Mean Girls actress celebrated her 25th birthday on Saturday, July 2.

Three Kristen Stewarts are better than one. Duh. As we’ve previously reported, Stewart will star in the revamped fairytale Snow White And The Huntsman opposite Charlize Theron as the evil queen. (Thor‘s Chris Hemsworth will play the Huntsman.) In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the film’s producer, Joe Roth, confirmed that the classic story will become an on-screen trilogy. Roth said, “It’s meant to be the first in a series of films. This story will end, but there will be questions remaining for these three characters.”
If you’re concerned that Stewart will play an apple-eating pushover who just waits around to be rescued by her Prince Charming, don’t worry; Roth has got that covered. Roth, “She (Snow White) starts out not a damsel in distress, but innocent, and after 11 years of imprisonment by the Evil Queen, she escapes and learns the ways of a warrior in the woods.” Snow White, the warrior? I remember Snow White singing with the birds in the forest and sweeping up after those messy dwarfs but I have no recollection of Snow White packing heat. The action adventure film hits theaters June 1, 2012.
Ever wonder where Lady Gaga gets her crazy outfits? Mugler’s creative director and the superstar’s stylist/BFF Nicola Formichetti is the force behind the fashion icon’s image. In an in-depth interview with W Magazine, Formichetti describes his first encounter with Gaga during a photo shoot. He recalled:
She arrived fully dressed, in hair and makeup, wearing shoulder pads and this leather dress and heels and shades-at 8 a.m. on the beach. I was going, “This bitch is crazy! She is the real deal.” We fell in love with each other, totally. It felt really organic. At the end of the shoot, she said she was going on The Ellen DeGeneres Show the next day and asked if I could maybe help her with that. So I gave her this amazing Nasir Mazhar orb hat, and she wore it with this cool denim jumpsuit. She sat at the piano and did “Poker Face.” I was completely mesmerized. I’d never really experienced the power of pop music and performance and fashion together like that.

Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo! My favorite mudblood Emma Watson (please don’t tell her I called her that) is on yet another magazine cover. Unlike her sultry Vogue spread Watson shows off her adorable side on the cover of Seventeen magazine. Oh, to be seventeen again! The magazine also promises to reveal the “#1 Move to a Cute Butt.”
The only way I’m going to acquire a cute butt is if I get a butt transplant and Anyone But Me‘s Nicole Pacent gives me hers.

Adele unplugged? The heavenly singer is going acoustic on her third album. During an interview with Q magazine, the 23-year old said, “I’ve accumulated some things to write about again. I’d go into the studio tomorrow if I could. It won’t be a big production. I want it to be quite acoustic and piano-led. I want to write it, record it, producer it all and master it on my own. I think it’ll take a lot longer because I want to do it this way. When I move house in the summer, my sound engineer is going to come and help me install a studio and teach me how to use it.” If Adele needs any tambourine tracks, I’m available.
And speaking of new albums, Madonna‘s manager, Guy Oseary, announced via Twitter that the pop icon is back in the studio working on her twelfth album.
