Afternoon Delight: Jillian Michaels tweets about Lindsay and Leno, the launch of espnW

Good afternoon and happy birthday to Jordana Brewster! Remember when Brewster played the sexy lesbian criminal mastermind in D.E.B.S.? Good times. Brewster returns to the big screen this Friday, April 29, in Fast Five, the fifth installment of the Fast and the Furious franchise.

In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, The Beaver director Jodie Foster discussed the dismal number of female directors working in the biz (only seven percent) and how even female film executives won’t work with female directors because, as Foster puts it, “They see female directors as a risk.” Wow, that’s depressing.

Modern Family star Julie Bowen raved to People magazine about her attractive Horrible Bosses co-star Jennifer Aniston. Bowen, “She’s (Aniston) incredibly beautiful in the way that you think you could be if you got drunk enough and looked in the mirror just at the right angle.” Bowen continued, “You think she’s an accessible sort of beautiful but you really can’t get that beautiful on your own. You’d have to drink your way there.” I’m not sure if Bowen has a girl-crush on Aniston or a drinking problem.

Speaking of co-star girl-crushes Glee‘s own Jayma Mays (who plays Emma Pillsbury) revealed her lesbian desires for guest star Kristin Chenoweth. Mays said, “First of all, I love this lady (Chenoweth). I have such a crush on her. Even though she’s not and I’m not, I wish we were both lesbians. That’s what I wish. [Laughs] I kind of follow her around on set when she’s there…”

Mays shouldn’t just wish they were lesbians she should go up to Chenoweth and plant one on her. I’m pretty sure Chenoweth would go for it. Actually, I have no proof to back up this theory, but they would make an adorable couple.

Speaking of Glee, E!Online has been speculating that the Fox show might reshoot the big prom scene since the identities of the prom king and queen were leaked to the masses by a show extra. Cory Monteith tweeted a photo of Dianna Agron wearing a tiara on set, so will Agron become the new prom queen? Darren Criss was asked if the episode will be re-shot to which he responded, “That would be a pain. We worked so hard. Jeez. That would suck. Let’s hope that’s not the case.”

Last night, Setup Squad (Logo’s new reality show about a New York City dating service that hooks clients up with wing men/women) premiered. The show’s theme song, “Let’s Go Out Tonight” by Yvette Rovira, features Setup Squad‘s own out wingwoman Meredith Schlosser. Check out the video and if you watched the premiere last night, let me know your thoughts on the show.

American Experience: The Stonewall Uprising is out on DVD today. The documentary by Kate Davis and David Heilbroner focuses on the New York City Stonewall Rebellion of June 28, 1969 and how it changed the LGBT community forever.

NBC has joined the “It Gets Better” bandwagon. In the video below, numerous NBC employees speak out on being gay (or gay allies) and their experiences with bullying, as well as their own struggles and triumphs with being different. Warning: I teared up while watching this, so grab a tissue (or don’t watch this when you’re PMSing).

All right sports fans, ESPN has heard your calls (I’m talking to you, Erin Foley) and this morning they launched a newly enhanced version of the woman-targeted site, espnW. Once just in blog format, it has now been transformed into a full-featured website, sponsored by Nike and Gatorade. (I love Gatorade’s Fruit Punch!) The new and improved site will have in-depth coverage of Women’s College World Series, the NBA and NHL Playoffs, Wimbledon and FIFA Women’s World Cup 2011. (I’d like to get in-depth with former New York Liberty/Los Angeles Sparks point guard Teresa Weatherspoon!)

espnW’s Vice President Laura Gentile said of the site’s transformation. “We’ve been developing espnW for … three years. We spoke to 2000 girls and 2000 women in extensive research to gain insight into girls’ and women’s experiences with sports and how we can improve that experience.”

As Trish mentioned in the Morning Brew, Lindsay Lohan will appear tonight on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Radar reported that during the show’s pre-taping when Lohan walked out to greet the host, the audience gave her a standing ovation. (Maybe the entire audience just happened to get up to go to the bathroom at the same time. I’m kidding! I’ve been to the Tonight Show before and they don’t let the audience up for pee breaks.)

The Biggest Loser’s Jillian Michaels will also be appearing on Leno tonight and she tweeted her concerns about following Lohan:

Which brings us to the Lesbian/Bi Video of the Day:

Here’s a sneak peek of Lohan’s interview with Jay Leno. Our little girl is growing up!
