First thing’s first, R.I.P. Elizabeth Taylor, who died of heart failure earlier this morning. While Elizabeth never played gay, she was an ally and also starred alongside Mia Farrow in The Secret Ceremony, which had a ton of subtext and even worried the studio because of its lesbianish undertones.
