Morning Brew: Wednesday, Dec. 15: Laura Fraser joins a new Showtime series, Jane Lynch on “The Simpsons”

G’morning!

Laura Fraser (aka Cat from Lip Service) is coming Stateside. She’s joined the new Showtime series Homeland, which also stars Claire Danes. Laura will play Jessica Brody, a marine’s wife. Unfortunately, Claire Danes is not the Marine.

Queer filmmaker Miranda July will debut her new film, The Future, at Sundance. I don’t know if there are any lesbian characters, but it’s about a stray cat, so it’s highly likely.

Comic Book Resources has listed part one of its Top 20 Female Comic Creators of 2010 and bisexual artist Lucy Knisley is among them. Speaking of Lucy, if you like comics and Harry Potter, you might want to check out her new collaborative project: Nora and Lucy: Horribly Heartbroken at Hogwarts.

Mr. Skin has come up with their own list of something and it’s their annual Best Nude Scenes of 2010. Coming it at number one was the lesbianish underwater scene from Piranha 3D, featuring Kelly Brook and Riley Steele. Amanda Seyfried and Julianne Moore‘s sex scenes in Chloe come in at number five.

What, no Room in Rome? Those women are naked the entire movie!

It’s about time! Jane Lynch will be lending her voice to The Simpsons. She’ll voice Roz, Homer’s new assistant at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, according to EW.com.

Got an xx fan in your life? The band has released a book of tour photos called The Tourist (not to be confused with the awful new Johnny Depp/Angelina Jolie film) and it’s only $8.

Jillian Michaels is on the cover of Self magazine this January, and she’s prepared to make you sweat. She’s teamed up with Self for a one month slimdown, which readers can partake in by visiting their website and following along with Jillian’s workout suggestions.
