Morning Brew – “Pretty Little Liars” star Sasha Pieterse talks Emison and how Ali identifies

Good morning and happy hump day!

Apparently only 2 percent of Americans are gay, lesbian or bisexual. I don’t recall being surveyed so….

Anna Paquin talked about her long career and wrapping True Blood on Late Night with Seth Meyers.

Tara Buck talked about a True Blood spin-off about her character, Ginger, and Pam, which I’d totally watch.

Well, can you imagine? I mean, Kristin is awesome. She is one my favorite people in life, and absolutely my favorite person on the show to work with and hang out with. It could have been fun! Remember when Ginger comforts Pam? And they have a sweet moment? I think what was so beautiful about it is that there was nothing sexual about it. That is the pinnacle of who Ginger is. As weird and eccentric and odd as she is, her core is very genuine, loyal, and kind.

TVFanatic talked with Sasha Pieterse about Emison and here’s what she had to say about Alison’s love for Emily and Ali’s sexuality:

That’s a good question because I think Alison did play with her and manipulated the situation before and the fact that Emily really had feelings for her but now everything’s kind of shifted I wouldn’t even say that I think she’s confused. I think she just really cares about Emily and this new form of love that they have for each other. But there are so many complications with it, too. You’ve got Paige and she’s got all this stuff going on and Alison’s just getting used to being home and the girls getting used to her being home, so there’s a lot of emotions at stake.

So I think what you really saw in the 100th episode, the relationship between Emily and Alison, I think that was a long time coming and I think it was just a really sweet moment between them. That kind of summed up the way they were feeling about each other.

And right after that scene they find out that Alison fought Mona and lied about it and so she really threw Emily for a loop right there because she does not know what she can trust Alison with. I think she’s kind of hurt by how vulnerable she let herself be and how she could be hurt so quickly by that. It will be interesting to see what the fans think about everything that’s coming up next.

Sacha Parkinson has moved on from Coronation Street to The Mill, and says she’ll probably never go back to the soap where she played Brooke Vincent’s love interest.

“My whole reason for leaving was that I wanted to do different roles. I really enjoyed my time on Corrie but it does become about what you’re doing as a person and not the job or your character’s storylines. I don’t think I’d go back. I’d done plenty of work before Coronation Street so I knew what it was like to do a job and not work for a few weeks, read a script, go to an audition and get excited for things. I’m glad I had that experience. I do try and get [spoilers] out of [Brooke] but she doesn’t know anything. loves her job but she’s done it so long now that I don’t think she’s too bothered with all that!”
