Morning Brew – Tatiana Maslany loves Cosima

Good morning! Here’s a #TBT from a Dinah long ago: Julie Goldman, Rebecca Drysdale and Kate Mckinnon in 2008. dinah2008-julie-rebecca-kate The new Scream pilot on MTV is casting for a character named Audrey that is described as “a bicurious daughter of a Luthern pastor.” She is also ““more arresting-looking than pretty” and an “artsy loner.” Sounds like Clea Duvall 15 years ago. Whatever happens, I’m sure she’ll end up being killed off for her bad behavior. Some of our faves won Peabody Awards this year, including Orange is the New Black and Orphan Black. Speaking of OB, Tatiana Maslany is in ELLE and on the cover of Emmy magazine this month. In ELLE she talks about loving Cosima:

There are so many facets to every one of them. Even when I play Helena, she’s not like my public self, obviously, but there are impulses in all of us to be more animalistic and cruel. If I had to pick I’d say a combination of Sarah and Cosima—I relate to Cosima’s fascination with life and there’s a maternal part of Sarah that I understand. She has this vicious mama lion thing.

I’m headed to the Dinah today and if you are too, there are some other fun lez parties going on in Palm Springs! Basically the city is turning into Lez Land and I love it. 1898030_832949010055687_124823421_n dinahsty2_copy.1 Today in Lesbianish TV: The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Queen Latifah Show, Good Morning America (ABC 7 a.m.), *Doctor Who “A Good Man Goes to War” (BBC America 9 a.m.).
