The producers behind Blue is the Warmest Color will not be eligible for the Oscar race this year, despite its great chances at winning Best Foreign Film. The reason? It’ll be released in theaters just after the due date. Films can only be considered for this year’s Oscars if they are released before September, where Blue opens in October. Le sigh.
