Good morning, Brewbies!
I’m going to say some words. Stop me when I have your attention. Tricia Helfer. Dichen Lachman. Jane Espenson. Joss Whedon. Yeah? I’ve pinged your interest? OK, good, because I want to tell you about the half-clothed pillow fight that happens between Helfer and Lachman at the end of the second season premiere of Jane Espenson‘s phenomenal web series, Husbands. If you’re not watching, you should be. It’s wicked smart and super funny and so sweet it’ll make your heart grow three sizes like a grinch. Oh, and gay. So so so gay. And Joss Whedon guest stars in episode 201!
Are you registering every day for your chance to win a trip to the WNBA championships this year in our annual Score Your Seats Sweepstakes? You know what we’re offering up, right? Tickets to game three, roundtrip airfare, and deluxe hotel accommodations — for you and a friend! Can you think of something awesome-er to do on October 19th? Nope. Nope, you can’t. So get to entering!
My buddy Jacob Clifton over at Television Without Pity is always saying there are some characters on Pretty Little Liars who exist on a whole other show, and then sometimes they drop into PLL to cause mayhem and things. Apparently he’s right! Starting next week after the summer finale, ABC Family is launching an eight-part web series called Pretty Dirty Secrets. It’ll revolve around CeCe, Lucas, Jason, and Noel Kahn who will all be creeping around that costume store we saw in the Halloween episode last year.
Like so many of you, I have been missing Robin Roberts‘s gorgeous face and glorious mind on Good Morning America. She’s been taking some time off to recharge before she undergoes a bone marrow transplant on September 5th. But yesterday, she was back! And she says her needle has gone from “E” to “full tank” after a trip home to visit family and then to Italy to soul/spirit renewal.
Welcome back, Robin! We’re sending so much good energy your way!
