Morning Brew – Friday, May 18: Brooklyn Decker had the hots for Rihanna while filming “Battleship,” Crystal Chappell makes her debut on “The Bold and the Beautiful”

It’s Friday! We made it! Battleship – officially known in my house as Tim Riggins Saves the Sea – opens today, and when Brooklyn Decker was making the press rounds earlier this week, she let it slip to Chelsea Lately that she developed some lady feelings for co-star Rihanna during filming. 

I love women. I find them very sexy and attractive and beautiful, but I’ve never been – you know, I like guys. I do. But when you’re around Rihanna, you’re like, “Oh! OK! I get it! I’ve never felt this way before! I understand!” Like, she has something.

Something like an invitation to your pants party, Decker?

Crystal Chappell made her debut on The Bold and the Beautiful yesterday as Dani, the secret wife of Karen Spencer and secret mom of Caroline Spencer. Thanks to AfterEllen reader Chrissy D, we’ve learned that South African soap Isidingo has introduced a lesbian storyline. According to Chrissy:

The character of Charlie Holmes is a series regular. She is played by the actress Jay Anstey. Charlie’s father is not too happy about his daughter’s love interest, which is a girl called Suzie. I think it’s great that a storyline like this is being shown considering that the LGBT community is holding protests around the country to stop the proposal of removing sexual orientation protection from the constitution.
