 Edit: And I've never heard of the E Ticket thing. But after reading what it is about I'm glad they don't do that anymore. That actually really surprises me they managed their parks that way... Maybe I'm just so used to the present day way of doing things. What a rip off, only being to ride some of the rides lol.

But this could be because I was born in 1982. Sorry Karman--i'm thinking Bridget might be right about this one.

I knew what E Ticket was...largely because of Sally Ride and My Grandparents having gone to Disneyland....tried to find the E-Ticket at Disney World in Florida was a no go...but went to Cape Canaveral...so cool...its also like no one now a days knows who the Fonz is?! I crushed soooo badly on Joanie!....so glad to hear of your wedded bliss with Bridget...you are sooooooo lucky!!!

Keep up the great work u guys are doing...hope there will be another After Ellen Meet n greet in NYC...in the near future...getting close to the anniversary date...welll May 18th...Ooooh there will be a HUGE AIDs walk going on that weekend in Central park...on Sunday May 17th....anyhoo...love your blogs...

Sorry Karmen I have to agree with Bridget, I thought you were referring to an airline ticket.  I love when you talk about your marriage. For the next addition of Ask Afterellen can you tell us how you two met and fell in love?  Which night are you seeing Lucy perform because I'd love to meet you two in person?

Ha! I also thouht Karman was talking about ecstasy with the "E ticket ride" thing. Born in 1982 - December at that - so I guess it was before my time. Not to mention never been to Disney World and lived in Jamaica until I was 19!

Anyhoo, Bridget and Karman are lovely and deserve each other - in that good way.

Karman, I can only imagine life with Bridget as an E-ticket ride!  I sure do remember them, Space Mountain being my favorite one!  I think you two make an adorable couple and I can only wish for you a Lifetime of happiness.

I did get the E-ticket reference, though sadly it's only because my mom always tells me about the good ol' Disneyland days when they gave you precious few E tickets and buttloads (my words, not hers) of the crappy A tickets.  I think she's still a little bitter...

On a related note I thought it would be awesome to go to the Lucy Lawless show until I found out the tickets are $60.  What, do they think I'm rich or something?!

If you do interview her, I think you should ask her what it was like to work with Renee and they boys from Hercules in 'Bitch Slap' and how she got involved with that project.
She mentions in her blog that she's going off the radar for a while, what can we expect from her when she returns?
As Xena she was always saving the day. Now she's saving the planet. Any campaign's she's heading up?

I am glad you included the link because, like Bridget, when I hear E Ticket, I think 'ticket purchased online'. That could have changed the meaning of the whole paragraph.

It isn't an age thing. I am Karman's age. I remember tickets at Disneyland, but I don't remember having any sense that some tickets were more valuable than others.

I got the E-Ticket thing.  I thought that was general knowledge, but maybe it's just further proof that I'm a huge geek...  then again, what good is a Pop Culture reference if it's not just a tiny bit esoteric?

At any rate, glad to hear your marriage is like an E-Ticket ride.  Lesbian happy endings are the best kind (I'm really not trying to make a dirty joke here...).

Sorry Karman, but I too must jump on the Bridget bandwagon and say I didn't know what an e-ticket was either. But since they were discontinued in 1982 and that was the year I came into this world, I'm not surprised. That and I've never been to Disneyland nor do I care to. Sorry kids, but if I'm going to theme park I'm going some place that doesn't break my bank account and I'll actually get a chance to get on the rides in one day.
