Celebrities Join March to Support LGBT Rights

McCain tweeted out a message of support to the LGBT community the day of the march:

Pushing Daisies star Kristin Chenoweth also showed her support, by marching and tweeting:

The cast of Glee, including Jane Lynch, also attended the HRC dinner.

The president’s speech was preceded by a performance by openly bisexual singer Lady Gaga of the classic song "Imagine," with the lyrics changed slightly to reference 1998 hate crime victim Matthew Shepard.

Gaga tweeted about the HRC dinner afterwards, and then spoke to the crowd at the march on Sunday.

The bulk of the crowd, however, was made up of thousands of ordinary men and women of all sexual orientations, from all over the country, who showed up to support LGBT rights.
