All you want for Christmas is Brittana to get back together on Glee. You know how I know? Because Brittany and Santana are absolutely winning the Favorite Fictional Lesbian Couple poll in the 2013 Visibility Awards right now, beating out even Lost Girl‘s Bo and Lauren, who have had sex on-screen at least four times this year — and as a general rule, the more scissoring you see, the more votes you vote. But this year, you’re just really, really jonesing for Brittana. And you know what? So am I. And you know what else? It’s apparently actually happening in the 100th episode! Kevin McHale dropped this little gem in an interview with HuffPo today:
Shum had yet to read the script, but McHale assured that the one-hour special will be “hilarious” and catches up with fan favorite cast members who weren’t prominently featured in the current season of Glee. “There are some of those Santana and Brittany moments that we’ve all been missing,” he said. “I’m a fan of those story lines, too, so I’m excited for people to see that.”
When I first read that quote, I was like:
Right, because what it seems like is:
And after all the ways we’ve suffered under the dominion of Glee, don’t you think we deserve a little:
But then I shook myself out of my trance and remembered this is Glee we’re talking about. Which almost always feels like:
And a little bit like:
But Brittana, you know? Brittana.
I guess I just need a little bit of time to be alone with my feelings.
What do you think of McHale’s quote about the 100th episode featuring those Brittany and Santana moments we’ve been missing? A Christmas miracle or the Ghost of Christmas Torments Yet to Come?
