Best. Lesbian. Week. Ever. (October 26, 2007)SHE DID HAVE SEXUAL RELATIONS WITH THAT WOMAN
According to the BET press release, the contestants "will receive the opportunity of a lifetime to intern for some of the world's biggest companies in the windy city of Chicago." We're also promised that "As the competition heats up during the day, the drama will only get hotter at night." In her BET bio, Kathy, a 20-year-old Acting/Theater major at Illinois State University, is asked a series of questions designed to reveal her character. After the obligatory inquiries about career goals and mentors, we cut to the good stuff (i.e., her love life).
Read Kathy's full bio (which introduces her with the headline "MEET KATHY: Sorry, Fellas. She's not interested") here. Two episodes of the six-episode series have already aired, so run, don't walk, to your TiVo and be sure you catch the remaining four! (Thanks, sloane, for the tip!) ALL OF THIS AND SHE'S A DRUMMER TOO? Here's a picture of Lani then (she's the one on the left):
And here's Lani now:
According to Facebook.com, Lani is now an animal and human reiki practitioner who enjoys watching Grey's Anatomy and The L Word. Animal healer? Check. L Word fan? Check. Short hair? Check. But I can't tell if she's muscular or has tattoos. Ergo, can we really be sure that she's a lesbian? |

I totally forgot she was going to be on Oprah! I rarely watch Oprah even though I Tivo it, but the subject made me want to watch and I was so excited to see her on there. She looked adorable and her story really moved me. I feel like it's hard to be who I am in my situation and she really put things in perspective for me. She's so strong and I just admire her to death.
And Karmen is SuperFly. I can't think of anybody else who would fit that label more then you. You're awesome and I adore you.

Where are all the lesbians?
Lesbians and bisexual women are no where to be seen on the big screen at the moment. Tv has fared better but there are no regular characters. There was a couple on Jekyll but they only had a small part in the programme. I guess I should be happy at least they made an appearance.
British soaps have played a part in visibilty but often let the characters down during the course of the storyline. Brookside was a large part of me realizing that I was gay, visibilty helps. I wish I could get Logo or something similar here for some great tv and film. An even bigger wish is that movie producers would not be so cautious in making lesbian themed movies or even a 'normal' non stereotypical lesbian character.
What the hell is that Jessica Biel pic? Very friendly aren't they! Stacyann is brave to talk on national tv. Kudos to her.
Tell us about your scene.
Really?
That made me laugh.
As a former inhabitant of Amsterdam I would say, sure Amsterdam is pretty gay.
But gay-est? As in Gayest.Capital.Ever?
Hmm.
Made me laugh too! Maybe
Made me laugh too! :)
Maybe it's the weed fumes creating that impression!
"call me old fashioned but I prefer feminism that leaves a little something to the imagination!"
Amsterdam
dutchamsterdam women are bisexual at most.Oh trust me...
there's lots of lesbians in Amsterdam if you know where to look for them.
Hmm. We do seem to have a scary high percentage of bi-curious straight women...
Btw, about Ready or not?'s Busy...I knew it!
Any idea if Famke Janssen
LOL!
Maybe the New Amsterdam?
"call me old fashioned but I prefer feminism that leaves a little something to the imagination!"
AMSTER-DAMN!
My profile pic was taken at a lesbian club on a trip to amsterdam, where the women were very tall and gorgeous. They were also very laid back, and were fairly shocked at my dancing on the table. My friend anna, who is much shyer, was much more popular there. I think I scared them.
But I still love that town...
Lezzy Amsterdam for Dummies?
Where would one look on a Sunday night? It just so happens I have a 24-hour stopover there tomorrow, and I'm wondering what my options are for having a bit of fun...
I've been a couple of times before, but always on quick little jaunts for work, and I'm never really sure where I am, let alone where I'm going... but I do know we're staying in the Museum Quarter

Michelle Malone
For t hose with pull with the Grammy voting, Michelle Malone is also in the running for a final spot. From email, and her myspace page:
After 20 years of recording and touring with other wonderfully talented Grammy winners like John Mayer and Indigo Girls, I finally made it onto the Grammy ballot with my 9th CD "Sugar Foot" - I might finally win a GRAMMY!!
But I can't do it without your help.
I need your vote to remain on the ballot in the contemporary blues category.
Please help spread the word! If you have any time to send out a few emails /messages to any friends you may have who are professionals in the music industry and might be voting NARAS members, I would appreciate it so much!
Remember, votes must be in by Wed NOV 7th
In Gratitude,
Michelle Malone

Karman, did you get any sleep at all recently? It must have been "Up all night writing.com" for sure with your BLWE and the Tila Tequila recaps. Dedication beyond the call of duty (or is that just watching the Tila show?). I hope Sarah gives you a raise!
This blog just confirms my
totally agree
lani billard
oh busy!
this is the best news i have EVER heard. i loved that show. they even covered gay issues. i was just watching clips of it on youtube the other day and telling everyone what a crush i had on busy. i kept insisting that she had gayface only to be told that it was only wishful thinking on my part. i feel so validated. i'm only a bit surprised she didn't turn out butcher.
anyway, busy, please marry me.
...
hmm
I dunno, is it just me or does that pic with Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake (especially him) next to her doesn't really look like her or him?!
~'Thanks for nothin'...~
It's them
there's a bunch of other pics of them on the sidelines of that game.

ready or not
I so totally called it
I'm pretty sure I knew Busy was gay even before I knew what "gay" meant. My gaydar kicks ass.
dizzy
that's how i feel seeing that pic of Rachel (would love to see her face) holding Biel's assets. And what would Jessica's face reveal...oh, such thoughts....thanks for the pic. Talk about HiDef! That's like virtual reality! I'm there!

.
never mind
Melanie C
There have been so many articles published about this one quote from her in Cosmo. Mel was upset that people are basing an opinion on her on stereotypes. Her point was that just because she had tattoos and muscles and short hair didn't mean she was a lesbian. There are more to lesbians than the age old stereotypes.
In the same article, she went on to say that she's always had a huge gay and lesbian following and she's proud of that. For some reason, people always forget to mention that part of the quote when taking her out of context.
Seriously. It pisses me off
I hope that spice girl doesn't
go all Queen Latifah on us!
True dat
Ooooh Dallas scene! can we add Rome?
Looking forward to the scene about Dallas (and I don't even like going to Texas), if for no other reason than it's not painfully far away (or as expensive as Chicago, much as I love that city).
Now, can we add Roma to that list before I go back in January? ;) Ok, that was selfish.
Thanks for starting my day with some laughs! now please, for the sake of the reputation of my home town, please never mention "Hey girl hey" chick again. Ever.
This BLWE made my day! I had
This BLWE made my day! I had the biggest crush on Busy. I could always "relate" to her. Im American so I just got the re-runs on Disney, but I watched it every single time it was on. I always had a feeling about her character and it makes me happy to know that the actress (a hottie) is lesbian. If only Ready or Not had gone "Degrassi" on us and given her a female love interests. Yes, well today I'll be grinning all day. So thanks.
Envious Lesbian Alert..
Best. Witch. Ever.
Allow I like Willow well enough, I have to say I was kind of happy that Samantha Stephens was at the top of that list. I used to have (ok, still do kind of) the biggest crush on her. When she looked kind of impish and said 'Weeeeeeellllll', my heart just melted.
Plus there's the whole thing about the show itself being gay-friendly etc, she even discussed in an interview how a lot of them (cast & crew) viewed the show as a metaphor for being in the closet, that is, when you have to pretend to be somebody you're not....
hand + booty = hello &/or good-bye
Clearly in Jessica Biel's world...any booty and hand action is just another way of saying hello or good-bye as evidenced in this youtube clip of Jessica and Maria Menounos...

:)
really really wanna zigazig ha
There is far worse things to be rumored about than having the gay rumor following you around, you know?! It pisses me off hearing about celebs getting their panties in a bunch over a rumor of them being gay. Big F***ing Deal.
Tom Cruise suing some magazine because they had said he was a homosexual, what a freaking scandal.
That being said Mel C is disappointing me, thought she was wiser than that.
She IS wiser than that. That
Maybe this question belongs
busy!!
thanks for the extra mention!
"...and then having the ovaries to flirt kid around a little with both them!"
It's true- my Ovary Fu is strong.

no Mexico?
that's sad I would do the Mexican scene :( lol oh well...I'll keep doing a good job as a reader here on AE...
and I would so love to be JT's assistant right now *wink*
I am also dissapointed at Mel C...I'm a fan, actually I was Sporty Spice (Posh Spice was already taken) at this impersonation me and my cousins did once when we were kids (ok that migh've been TMI)...and reading all that BS about her being pissed, I would be like 'hey at least ppl is talking about me'..she doesn't need to say those things, specially if she has lesbian fans, shame on her.
good job Karman! u rock!

We are kind of a big deal these days...
World Series: Hopefully we can at least win one...
And the Democratic National Convention.
Just Sayin'
Ready or Not...
Man, I used to watch that show religiously on the Disney channel. It's funny that Canadian television shows made such a great impression on me growing up. Or perhaps the Canadian actresses, but the storylines always seem more real and nuanced than any American show I can remember from childhood.
About the cities, don't forget Portland, Or. And just for the hell of it, Salt Lake. There has to be more lesbians here than just me. A few more at least. Maybe. Hopefully.
Is it possible...
Is it possible for After Ellen to just stop using dailymotion all together as a video player? It never seem to work for me properly.
The one for "She Made Me Watch This" works perfectly.
Anyone else have this problem?
Thanks!
I didn't know about the BG Razor screenings, can't wait!
Also, I'm just tickled that "JT" seems to be, by far, the least butch person out of those three. :)
