KIRAN, MEET KAREN
Canadian actress Lisa Ray has been cast as the other lead in Manan Katohora's romantic lesbian drama When Kiran Met Karen, about an Indian-American actress in New York who falls in love with her female co-star while shooting a film in which she plays a lesbian.

The 35-year-old Ray — who is half Indian and half Polish, speaks Hindi fluently as a second language, and is best known for starring in the comedy Bollywood/Hollywood — will play Karen, the female co-star Kiran falls for. Here are a few photos of Lisa:

As we reported back in December, the lead role of Kiran will be played by American actress Purva Bedi:

Looks like a great pairing and a great premise — kinda similar to what happened on the set of Bloodrayne. Allegedly. Sure, neither actress was technically playing a lesbian in that movie, but have you seen their swordplay?

Completely unrelated but inspired by the movie's title, I wanted to highlight this photoshopped creation by AfterEllen.com member trihardest that was posted in our forum recently:

Meg Ryan and Leisha Hailey? I'll have what she's having!
