The 2009 NewNowNext Awards will be happening this summer, and Logo has just announced its nominees, which you can see in the video below. There are some surprises and some tough calls (like in Cause You're Hot — you'll see what I mean. Can't there be two winners?)
What will really be difficult, though, is our AfterEllen.com award for Best Kiss of the year. I might just have to watch all the kisses again (and again) to make sure.

WTF? This video just plain sucks. it's not funny nor smart nor interesting. As far as I remember, the newnownext awards were very gay-dominated last year too, as in gay boys, not LGBT. I wonder why they even bother to include lesbians, when they clearly don't care about us enough to actually target the lesbian/bi-women community.
