OK. This set up was kinda weird. I assume that it was logo but they just put all the "segments" together. It cut out and I got worried. Charlene's tee rocked and oooh Dani Campbell. HOT! Actually they were both pretty smokin'. This vid was actually kinda funny overall but really short and the cutting out certainly didnt help. :/

 I mean I know she wasn't part of the oringinal cast be she and Britnelle were totally hot, and Seyah was for sure the only reason I watched this train weck of a show. She was so cute and wthout drama unlike all the other girls, which we really didn't get to know either, because the whole show was totally scipted, and not well.

 The editing was a little annoying, I kept thinking that the video had cut off and wasn't working.

I think the best line was ' spooning leads to forking'. It made me laugh so much. Also the end part where they talk about dancing and head bobbing.

I love how when they all started talking about a ten year reunion they turned their old lady voices on when they would be i their 30's...geez kids..you think the sex is good now...just wait.

ok charlene is the only one who seems to have any direction. she was the only one who intrigued me. alex is cute but damn these women seem clueless about the world--or maybe it's just an act. kinda like their show. seemed like all their answers were a bit flighty.

Honestly these girls do not have a clue. Do any of them other than maybe Robin have an education? I don't even know what to say about Bathilda other than she must be high a lot. I mean that spooning leads to forking was hilarious, but seriously how many times did she touch or adjust her hair? It must be so oily from all that constant primping. It's like she has fleas or something.

Surprise Alex is with Mattie.  Well not a surprise....at all.  She looks like she's scared when she kisses Paris too.   Who is worse for the bi community - Tila (who picks Bobby - a man who states no woman can be gay until they give a man a tryout - in season 1) or Alex (who picks Mattie - a man who enters a same sex women's party with the apparent intention to show the lesbians he controls Alex).  It's a toss up.  As a bi, I've never been with a man or woman who feels the need to make a statement about the stronger sex. 

So when is season 2 of the Mattie loves Alex show coming back on.  God knows I don't get enough of opposite sex loving on other channels. 

it's nice to get a bit of an update. i don't know how recent it was filmed, but i'm looking forward to a second season. especially for alex, charlene, and bathilda.

It takes balls to put yourself out there and film yourself. I know I couldn't and I dont think I am that interesting to watch. Hopefully, the next Gimme sugar they learn and become better at what they do.

I don't even think Alex is bi. I think the casting people went and found a hot straight girl who isn't totally repulsed by lesbians and asked if she wanted to be the bi hottie on the program. Which would explain why we were forced to watch Mattie (again, what the hell kind of name is that for a grown ass man?) and her play tongue hockey. Alex is going to end up with a dude when it's all said and done, so why even bother with the bi angle?

Dr. Gloria Nathan, I understand where you are coming from.  I want to take Alex at face value.  However, I never sensed any attraction from her to women.  Maybe she is bi and it's just the way the show was edited.  However based on what we saw I have to agree with you at this point.  I thought straight woman playing bi all the way.  Many times us bi's get real defensive on this issue but someone like Alex (or at least the way Alex was edited) doesn't make it any better.  Everyone I watched it with was yelling "straight woman".  It has nothing to do with looks (looks tell nothing) but behavior.  She seemed into Mattie all the way but you could see no spark with women.  Maybe they figured Mattie would draw in the gay male audience or the inquisitive bicurious (ugghhh hate that word but I'm trying to think of the audience Logo was going for by making Mattie/Alex the primary romance shown - counted time and Davona's romance got less time).

 

what is with everyone bagging on Alex b/c shes with a man!? incase people dont know, bisexulity means she dates men too! it doesnt mean she's not a real bisexual just because shes dating a man, that makes no sense. im so sick of people being assholes about bisexuals. im not bisexual, but i know a few and they like men just as much as they like women. its ridiculous to assume that in order for Alex to be bisexual she must ALWAYS be with women! i dont think Alex was coming off as a straight woman at all. you only assume this because shes on a show with lesbians while dating a man.

ChelCL11, the thing that throws me off is when people get upset when one questions a "reality" show individual's authenticity.  Being bisexual is being emotionally and sexually attracted to both men and women.  I did not get any sense (from what was shown on the show) that Alex was attracted to women in either regard.  What I saw was a strong emotional and sexual response to Mattie.  If she had shown an inkling of that type of response to a woman than persons such as me would not have questioned it.  However she did not, imo.   The kissing scenes with Paris seemed one sided (Paris's side).  I pondered if the powers behind the show noticed this and kept such scenes to a minimum.  I sensed apprehension and disinterest instead (as I did in every scene that was supposed to hint intimacy between her and other women). 

I am not the only one to sense this.  BTW, a bisexual is not someone who dates men too and a bisexual is not someone who dates women too.  A bisexual does not need to be dating both sexes to prove their bisexuality.  I am with a woman and have been for a long time.  It does not exclude finding men sexually and emotionally attractive.  No, I am a bisexual in love with a woman whose life plans are that woman.  Alex never once needed to kiss a woman to make me think she is bisexual.  However when one senses discomfort and a complete lack of emotional/sexual attraction to women one should ponder the legitimacy of the claim being made (again on a reality show).  When Mattie came into that club, you could sense immediately that all Alex wanted was him and that she was annoyed to have to stick around the women (I wonder if this was by request to keep the bi image going).  Her emotional response to Mattie (who came across extremely dull, uncharismatic, and detached BTW), her defensiveness of his out of line behavior, and her not concealed lack of interest in Paris and later the dancer (where she had a hope this is over soon so I can get some Mattie time) are red flags.   

People need to stop jumping to claims of biphobia whenever a person's authenticity on a reality show is questioned.  Even if all the women on the show said she was definitely bi I'm just not buying it (I have to base it on what Alex showed).

BTW, I thoroughly enjoyed the show. As a business manager of a lesbian promoter, I got a kick out of you trying to get your night started. And good for you all for just having the guts to go out and do it even if you did make lots of mistakes. That's how we learn and I'm looking forward to seeing you all on season 2.

Face value is how I am taking. Yeah, editing can fix up a couple of things here and there but editing couldn't fix the lack of chemistry between Paris and Alex. Although, Alex appeared to enjoy the lapdance from the chick at Truck Stop...but straight chicks like lapdances too. I am actually relieved they downplayed Davonee and her gf's relationship because Davonnee really irked me. Now Charlene was cool...she seems like a cool broad to hang out with. The others...not so much. Oh, but I would hang out with Robin's boobs. Yep.

jackeup77, I'm questioning it because I don't buy it. Not one bit.  I didn't even buy the lapdancer interesting Alex.  I've always put what I see ahead of what I'm told to see. It makes it harder to get played.  This is kind of funny though because it's usually me insisting someone is into women and being yelled at that I'm imagining things (you should check out the months of posts ripping me for saying Lindsay Lohan was in love with Samantha Ronson).  Nope, I just call it like I see it. 

 

I saw the youtube version of Alex's lapdance that wasn't taped by the Gimme Sugar folks but from some random patron. She was having a good time. But I agree with you, Ediana...I am not buying what Alex is selling.

i loved this little reunion special and my only complaints are, the editing sucks donkey balls and i wish this was filmed more recently. i hate that this was filmed during dinah shore weekend =/ that was waaaaay before gimme sugar ever aired on tv

If you ladies reread all the posts up to mine(this one) you will notice some key words...buying, selling and editing....for me the glaring one is the editing...rewatch the show back tobacktoback...alot of time gaps....they picked the hot issues...the drama, playing it like a soap opera...the full story with any of the girls never really made it to the screen.

Bring on season two! BRING IT ON!

Hey a WaMu commercial came on before Gimme Sugar...wasn't that the woman that plays Sienna on Exes & Ohs????

Looked like her, thought I'd point that out. I know there was just a blog or article posted on here about Leisha and Ellen and Michelle in commercials...though they are actual lesbians some people started posting comments about actresses that play lesbians so yeah...thought I'd point that out.

Wow this reunion special was awesome...but I wonder is we can get a reunion-reunion special! lol cause honestly how old was this? Wasn't Dinah in like in April????? Dani is so adorable:-) And she asked really good questions.

All the girls are so hott, and I really like all their personalities. They're all so different which is why I think they work. It's nice to know that people that different can be so close.

I loved the show, I don't even care how set up it was. Most reality shows have an element of planning, but this is the only one that the lesbian community really has for younger bisexuals/lesbians. I'm looking for entertainment, not for it to be completely real.

I hope the girls come back for another season, i think they're all funny and fun to watch. Charlene has to be my favourite, because she seems like she's the most down-to-earth.

Oh, and Bathilda is wayyy hot, and quirky. You know, just some thoughts rattling around in my head right now. Can't help but notice these things.
