Gimme Sugar: Episode 3This week on Gimme Sugar, a little progress for the lesbian night is made in a business meeting, and Sayeh goes on her first date with a girl. Then, Alex turns 21 so the girls dress as naughty schoolgirls for their weekly outing at Truckstop. But once they get to the club, Matt, the guy Alex is dating, shows up and the ladies don't seem to be excited about his presence – especially Alex's crush, Paris.
Luckily for Paris, Alex is able to get Matt to leave and the party gets taken back to Charlene's pad. Gimme Sugar Episode 3

haha I was wondering when this was going to posted since it’s been on the logo website since Friday. i’m guessing the people over on the logo website made a mistake?
alex named her dog axel rose. did i hear correctly? And was it just me or was anyone else confused by the devonee and alex fight? I didn’t really get why devonee was so pissed off and i didn’t see how alex was rubbing the whole kissing matty thing in devonee’s face. the only one who hasn’t said something negative about alex bisexuality is bathilda
speaking of bathilda, what robin did was royally f-ed up. i don’t have a problem with robin setting up brittenelle with sayeh, but I do have a problem with robin only inviting bathilda and the others to dinner at the same restaurant just so she could get a reaction out of bathilda. imo, you just don’t do that to friends

I think this was the best episode yet. Lots of hot girls--including Brit and Paris. Davonnee is a shit starter. I felt really bad for Alex when she was being grilled by Davonnee for being bi. I never knew that this bias existed in the lesbian community. But then again I don't have any gay friends...
Anyways I was worried that AE wasn't going to post anymore episodes because of all of the negative feedback. But I'm glad its still on here cause I like to read the comments of those 4 or 5 (lol) who actually enjoed it.
The scenes when Alex and Robin were talking to the possible employers made me cringe. They were soooo unprepaired. I hate how they make the 18-22 population look bad. Heads up: there are some of us who can party hard but still work hard the next day!

I think Alex's friends were justified in being a little upset
I don't find it immature at all. Alex's friends never hid the fact that they have reservations about her bisexuality. I would imagine that as lesbians who face prejudice in one form or another everyday, the only time they feel safe and comfortable is at an all-girls club where they can be who they are. Matty is like the interloper. To them, he's the serpent in the Garden of Eden who wants to corrupt Eve. He wants to sweep their friend off her feet... unfortunately, it's just not the right time and certainly not the right place.
Matt is not a boyfriend... yet. He's still at the courting stage and the Sugar girls haven't even been formally introduced. The friends' aren't at that comfort level to accept him into their little world. Of course they were going to react the way they did. I would be shocked if they didn't.
I don't know whether this show is scripted (probably so), but Matty really had no business courting Alex at a lesbian club. Seems like he was almost daring them to object. If anything, it is Matt and Alex who should have shown respect for her friends and the girls at the club.
The proper and respectful way to go about it would have been for the both of them to have a private birthday celebration either before or after Truck Stop.

Well I do agree that he shouldn't have come to a lesbian establishment to try and court Alex. When I said "girls shouldn't be so immature", I was actually referring to Davonee. LOL. Davonee is probably the worst out of all them in terms of maturity. Bathilda said in Arlan's blog that she knew Matty (what the hell kind of name is that for a grown ass man?) personally which might explain her lack of comments when he appeared. Still, I felt a little bad for Alex for having to explain herself to Davonee, of all people.
Alex claimed she didn't know Matty was coming so I really can't fault her for what happened.

hey everyone! this is alex from the show. Thanks to everyone who has been posting comments. (good and bad) Just to set the record straight, yes we are all friends in real life. and no the show isn't scripted. In our defense, this is a REALITY SHOW.... hours and hours of footage has been edited down to 22 min. OF COURSE they are going to take the most drama filled ridiculous moments and put them in the show. DUH!!! who wants to watch 22 min of us with our thumbs in our asses sitting at our jobs etc.? BOO FELISHA! Boring, if you ask me. This show is supposed to be fun, light hearted, a guilty pleasure, if you will. I'm glad most of you are liking the show and taking it for what it is, and are entertained by our craziness. The show only gets better, episodes 3-6 are my personal favorites.

We heard that same comment from the Lonelygirl15 creators & Cast until they were exposed big style and HAD to admit that the whole thing was a docusoap.
And yeah I agree everyone has the right to voice their opinion, if you say you guys are for real and it isnt scripted then all i can do is take you at your word. Its just that in my opinion it isnt real and you guys are given stories and scenario's to act out.

I was not going to comment again, but it's tooo easy. It's funny that you take time to read through the comments. It shows you care about your image. That can be great and can also be very shallow of you. I had seen you and your friends out in weho before the show and def know you guys like to party. The sad part is that Logo could not think of a better show idea than to put underaged drama queens on another reality show. Instead of showing how queer women can make a diff, all you guys are doing is partying or creating the image of party lesbians. Why don't you put the drink down and go make a diff somewhere. Stupid car wash idea and now school girl lap dances. I am not saying we do not need sexuality, and as women, we should own our sexuality- but be better than what men are. Women are MORE THAN T*** & A*** but it seem like all this show does is confirm the need for more T&A stereotyping.
All you guys need is to grow up. If you are going to only concentrate on hottness, then do it- drop that mcee fugly and that davonee that looks like an alien and lets all be shallow.

This show is great for those who do not have enough drama in our lives- so lets be thankful that some other idiots are creating the drama and we just get to watch.

I was hoping that by the second episode of Gimme Sugar that those who promised they wouldn't watch the show again or comment on it would keep their promises. Actually, per Alex's suggestion, do continue watching the show, but spare the rest of us the negativity.
Please allow us miscreants who don't take everything so seriously and who don't expect everything on TV to teach us about life to come together and share our hedonistic thoughts.
Television is a source of entertainment. I don't turn on TV for education because it's not their job. That's why I go to school. That's why we have parents and role models.
If you disdain these kinds of reality shows, stay away. Please. There's other options to nurture your mind like PBS, Discovery Channel and the History Channel.
If you want to see more queer women who "make a difference," why not take your own advice. So what are you doing to make a difference? Coming here and complaining about a show isn't exactly the best use of your time; and it isn't exactly making a difference in the world.
Some of us are on summer break and we just want mindless fun. It's summer programming, for God sake. How much seriousness do you actually want to drown us with? Should we drown in the news of the death tolls in Iraq, the housing crisis, or high gas prices?

I do apologize for the antagonistic tone of my reply. But you came here to rant about shallowness, then in the next sentence, you call Charlene "fugly," Davonee an "alien" and Alex "shallow" because she took the time to come here and answer some of the concerns so many here had (i.e., is the show scripted? are they really friends in real life?). It's just crossing the line from frustration to plain rudeness.
For your own sake and sanity (and ours), just don't watch a show that seems to drive your blood pressure up.

It's just a show. Sure they make dumb decisions and say dumb things about their drama, but who cares? Just like any other reality show, it's fun to laugh at. The show is supposed to be lighthearted, just like the LA scene itself. We're smart enough to know that not every 20 something year old lesbian is like them. IMO, it's a pleasure to see these girls, and not the typical, oh-so-serious, scorned lesbian we see in the media all the time.

Excuse you, Amazing Race isn't scripted neither was Fear Factor, or cooking reality shows. Stop dissing them. Food Network based their reality tv as instructional and fun cooking shows-what are they scripted too? Some of you guys are Fuc&^ Asses! Yeah,they're some like ASLWTT,some of it was scripted, not all. You don't like it! Don't fuc%in watch it!
