This week, horror host Ghostella (Heidi Martinuzzi) presents the terrifying 2006 slasher film Ex.
Fran (Martinuzzi) is home alone and her ex-girlfriend Maggie (Elissa Dowling) keeps popping up throughout the evening. Is she really concerned for Fran, or are her motives far more sinister? Ghostella's Haunted Tomb: Episode 6
Check back in two weeks for a new episode. In the meantime, you can watch previous episodes, and catch up on the latest horror movie news on Stacie's blog. Submitted by on July 2, 2008 - 1:00pm. |

"Called Ex *waves hands in
"Called Ex *waves hands in x shape*" Classic
That cat jumping off the window was so funny - especially the canned noise they always use!
On the tv...was that one of the previous videos?
We all have a few "Lamp issues" here and there :)
And the road stretched on like an angry woman...
Congrates Stacie
Congrates Stacie for another fun Ghostella. You rock !

D.You should all be famous.
Slashtastic!
Wow. Glad I kept the light on to watch this - that was genuinely scary.
It may have been made in '2006', but Ex's heart definitely seems to be with early slasher classics like Black Christmas and Halloween. Loved the phone calls, disturbing sqealing/crying noises, the now-you-see-it/now-you-don't figure outside the house, and there were some really great POV shots (and fakeout POV - I don't know the technical term for the camera-makes-its-way-to-the-shower bit).
Oh, and poor Ghostella - she seemed so happy during the intermission.
Thanks for another great Haunted Tomb entry.
Yes I totally jumped when
Yes I totally jumped when the shadow thing went past haha, once again brilliant Stacie! I hope no babies were harmed in tha making of those screams ;)

Must agree
1) seriously sweet sound
1) seriously sweet sound editing. What SFX library/cd/whatever is it from?
2) was legitimately scared. probably due to point 1.
3) Nice recycling of the herb garden.
4) also, way to hang a lantern on the dual casting. Ghostella WOULD call herself younger and prettier than... herself.
That was awesome! I too
That was awesome! I too actually jumped out of my seat when the shadow thing walked across the hallway. Almost knocked my keyboard over, haha. Plus the whole thing was, as usual, hilarious. I love this vlog!

LORELAI: Your mother is God?
bah jesus
I must confess I don't usually watch this vlog, but the one time I do decide to watch it I'M SO FREAKED OUT!!! when the shadow passed by OH MY GOODNESS!! I'm such a wuss I'll probably have nightmares about this. Anyways, so, since I was so scared that means it was good and effective so Stacie, great job!! :D and I love Ghostella's introductions and intermissions, the best ;D
peace!
Ghostella = Hotness
Especially this ep
Good God,
I totally screamed at one part of that and scared my dog. I think we agree that this was the freakiest episode so far.
The baby thing was creepy, the first one on the phone sounded like it was being smothered or something.

You're Everywhere to me.
Awesome
Oh man, I loved this episode, especially the evil pig at the end.
I agree with Michellesandiego, that sure is one ugly couch.

I do not do scary...
So, was the Pig person another ex?
Or just a crazy person with a tape recorder?
Poor Maggie. She should have just given up on that lamp. It isn't worth it to go back to your ex's house. Hopefully, she's learned her lesson.
Thanks, kids...
...for the kind words. This ep was meant to be a little more 'scary' than previous outings, so I'm glad that goal was met, at least.
A few answers to various queries:
-This one's got a bunch of slasher flick easter eggs in it, though I'm probably about the only person nerdy enough to pick up on all of them. :) There's definitely some Black Christmas in there, along with Prom Night and Friday the 13th Part 2. I had a bit of When A Stranger Calls in the script, but that material didn't make the final cut. I just thought the pig mask was creepy, but maybe I should call it a tribute to Motel Hell... :D
-What's with all the couch hate??! If it's fashionable enough that it looks like it's straight out of an episode of The Golden Girls, then it's fashionable enough for Ghostella!
-The movie that Fran turns on was indeed featured in another episode of Ghostella: it's the 1974 film Who's Been in the Herb Garden? The director was pretty cool about letting me use the footage royalty-free. :)
-As far as sound goes, I get alot of stuff from soundsnap.com. It's a great resource.
Thanks for watching!!

My mistake, I am glad you have made me realize it's not ugly at all, but very cool and retro ;-)

EEEKKKKKKK
Whoa this ep really scared me a few times and made me jump. I had my usual 'angst' watching it as I normally do watching the horror flix.
I am appreciating Heidi so much in her many roles here.
Final Girl, Ghostella seems to be transforming in each episode. Is that a conscious effect going on?
Wow Stacie!
That was awsome!
*don't judge me*
The Couch
Okay, here's the deal with the couch. It's not Stacie's fault - It's mine. I take full responsibility. I bought it 3 years ago at a Goodwill for 50 dollars. I call it the "Golden Girls" couch. I like to imagine that it originally came from Florida sometime in the late 1980's...
You guys are so awesome. Thanks for all the nice comments.... ;)))
